I used to get it a fair bit in CoD2 and 4 when I played competitively, but I play TF2 now and the community is much more mature and don't just whine about absolutely anything whenever they have a respawn timer on their hud.

Although I did see someone complain about someone else having a low ping the other day, by Jove did I laugh at him.

Yeah, once. Playing Counterstrike on an AWP map and I had a very lucky streak. I don't even like sniping...

The only time i suspect cheating is when a player is moving and shooting at a rate waaaayy faster than is normally possible in a game. I've seen hardcore gamers, they treat it like a 9 to 5 job and i have no doubt in my mind that there mopping the floor with you becaue there just that good.

I sometimes got accused of cheating when I used to online play, usually at Halo where I had an uncanny knack for headshots, and would usually wait until I had knocked someone's shield out before switching to a pistol for the coup de grace. I thought it was just a fun way for me to get someone, but I often got accused of cheating because I clearly couldn't be that good with a pistol.

My friends also occasionally accuse me of cheating when we system link play, but it's a lot more joking because they know that I have a thing for headshots, and we're all pretty evenly matched anyways. Also, the headshot thing comes in handy when we're all trying to get expert achievemtns on Left 4 Dead, so they put up with me scoring a few in MW2 or similar.

One time in Halo 3 I managed to get about 90% of my teams kills in a team death match (It was on the narrows I think, I just know that it was the bridge one with the jump platforms) It was insane and I was called out by everyone on the other team for cheating. I have no idea how it happened to go so damn well for that one single match my basis is that it was a once in a lifetime fluke which I shall never be able to repeat.

I was also called out in RDR once because I was out head-shotting someone who had a sniper rifle and I think I had one of the crappy beginner rifle's. But I used the same thing as in the OP. Just aiming up a bit after auto aiming, I thought it was hilarious because he got furious and rage quit the match

I also forgot to mention that people thought I was cheating by using the plasma pistol and battle rifle combo, although I have no idea why they would think that its cheating...

I am GOD with the AWP in Counter-Strike, I consider it a bad day if I don't take down at least three guys before dying with it.

As thus, I've been kicked twice, and I honestly hate using the AWP. Real men snipe using the M3.

Almost every day in mw2 (at least on days when i'm actually doing good). I remember there already was a thread like this though.

Funny thing happened once: was in a turret on an open map (wasteland, for those who play mw2) and there was no one around so i just shot randomly into some bushes. Result: headshot the guy on the other side without even seeing him. I knew where i was aiming, but i really didn't expect to get a kill. Man did the guy rage afterwards.
Many threads get repeated. But better to have an occasional repeat of an older thread than bothering necroing old ones. As long as its not the same thread repeatedly within a week or maybe month, people should not get bothered by it. (Not saying you are, but people who say Use Search Bar are rather annoying, and likely never used it since it is not reliable at all)

Once when a poorly made server on tf2 didn't have blocks on the enemy spawns. So I walked right up behind the span location and back stabbed anyone who dared spawn again. I got 51 kills.

I suppose it was cheating in a way. :)

I was not only accused, in fact they started sending me messages over PSN saying that I suck... I guess 27 kills no deaths tends to do that to people. And frag-fx migth be cheating for some people, but hey I am mainly a PC Gamer I am not used to the controller

I am curious if you have ever been accused of cheating due to doing well, or if you are the kind to assume one is cheating if their score is rather much higher than everyone elses?
Yes, many times in Call of Duty 3. I'm not going to lie, I'm fucking awesome at that game, and there have been many instances that certain people--noobs (I understand that we don't use that word on the Escapist)--have accused me of speed and aiming hack. The irony is that I know a lot of the games' glitches, and I actually use them to stop others from glitching.

The original gears of war. Back then I was capable of taking an entire team by myself with a touch of luck. Of course the luck was translated into cheating by many.

If you're using your brain against morons you will often get accused of cheating.

For example, in MW2 shooting through a certain wall near the metal detectors in Terminal will explode the oil tank where the snipers camp on the roof... hence much rage and 'wallhack' accusations.

Main reason I ever learn glitches is to counter glitch. Also to spot peopel trying. I wish not telling would help, but the internet will always ruin that.

Glitches should be used for good, not evil. (Good being private match with buddies screwing around)

Yeah, back when I was a crappy TF2 player, I managed to score headshots on a nooby Sniper over and over and over...

I look over to the left side of my screen and he started a votekick for me, the reason being "Aimbot". Yeaaaahhhh, I'm definitely wasn't that good of a sniper back then but I guess I was better than that guy would ever think possible.

I once got accused of cheating when I was doing terrible...

It was a free for all on MW2 and I was messing around with a riot shield, I was something like 3-20 and some guy accused me of Nuke Boosting with another guy with a riot shield ( someone else in the game who was going around with a Riot Shield). I didn't understand why he thought that but it was pretty funny listening to him shout at me.
