Yeah I never understood the whole "kid killing in games dilemma" I can see why some people want it, absolute freedom yadda yadda, but I wouldn't kill children in games even if I could, just seems kinda evil.
Just sneak shot them in the head with an arrow, pop an invis potion till the commotion dies down, and pretend he's being a jerk because he has injury induced Tourette's.Insanity_Zero said:Love it. Absolutely love it.
Those little ****-stains need to be taken care of. It's getting soooooo annoying having to hear "Another adventurer coming to lick my fathers boots. Good job."
Dammit, if only this worked for the Xbox360. It's sad that Bethesda won't put the patch out to do that, but dangit if it wouldn't be one of the best features about Skyrim.

Is it any worse than killing the last daughter of a dying family? After the other daughter died HORRIBLY not too long ago? And their sacred family heirloom stolen at the same time?
Is it any worse than killing an emaciated mentally handicapped orphan beggar who lost EVERYTHING? Living in the burned down house of his parents, and after his sister died not too long ago?
Is it any worse than killing an honest businessman by poisoning his entire meadery stock? So a rich woman can get a few extra septims in a market she already has a monopoly on?
Is it any worse than beating an old man with a mace until he gives his soul to a deadra lord so you would stop? Damning him to torture for eternity?
Is it any worse than turning a man into the Thalmor, who will torture and kill him because he worships Talos? To sign someone's death warrant because of his beliefs, when he did nothing wrong?
Look at these quests. How are these better than a child dying? How is being Tamriel's version of a nazi better? People call these quests fun, yet I hear no uproar.
So... Point to where I said those things you two attributed to me?Father Time said:Kids allow me to use this to illustrate inconsistent thinking (for lack of a better word).
"I want to play a game where I can murder adults whenever I want"-Not a single fuck is given.
"I want to play a game where I can murder kids whenever I want" -"You have a disturbed mind" (as implied with the post above)
Edit: To be fair I don't care about killing virtual adults but the idea of killing kids is pretty unsettling to me.
So yeah, I'm not above Fluffis here, not too much.

Why do you feel the need for children to die in a computer game?
Don't just shrug that question off. Think about it. I mean REALLY think about it.
Is it NECESSARY to be able to kill children?
Or are you going to do it "for fun"? (In that case, you may need to think long and hard about what you call fun.)
Hehe, currently the party has 1 x experimental airship (think Battlestar galactica but made from magic wood/metal), 1 x gunship/dropship, 4 x fighters + slowly accruing crew for them and there current allies are a nationless special forces regiment.Ultratwinkie said:That is a far cry from my tabletop games. I was banned from ALL flying machines because the dungeon master feared I would pull a 9/11 on the nearest government castle. I also tried to steal corpses to start a cyborg zombie army regardless of what the body was.
The tabletop was a game written by a friend, it was in beta and allowed anything you could imagine. So what did i make? Chickenwing, the tech specialist who tries to make a cyborg zombie army. He also had a flaw that made ALL contraception fail 100%. That was an actual perk/flaw in the rulebook.
What can I say? I am a horrible person. Your party would have walked out in moral objection when I play. The party I was with was just as bad. The party's female kicked me in the nuts then mugged me in the first five minutes of the actual game.
I see your point, but if they don't have children running around, everyone just complains about how unrealistic it looks. Oh well. I'm playing Skyrim on the PS3 right now while I wait to upgrade the pc. I have no problem with the mod or with my current lack of access to it. It's just not one of my gripes about the game.Mad World said:I'd say so; not everyone is playing it on PC. I'm sure that there are plenty of console players who are very annoyed by the fact that children can't be killed.kyogen said:I'm fine with Bethesda drawing a line with its internal development and letting modders do whatever they want. I suspect most people think the same, including the modders. Is this really an issue?
If a developer is too scared to allow children to be killed, then they shouldn't have them in the game... at least in a game like Skyrim.
