Morrowind (or at least part of Morrowind) seems the most likely addition if landmasses are going to be added, because it already has an in-game road connecting it to Skyrim. I personally don't think they're planning to add all of Morrowind, because the size of places like Vvardenfell looks highly abstracted, but the regions along the Skyrim border seem a likely candidate.

Just because the landmasses exist doesn't mean they'll be used. The in-game map is actually based on the real terrain, so it's possible they were just added to make the map work, or as a gift to the modding community.

I'd like to see the Thalmor metaplot advanced, with more clues about what might happen to Tamriel in the next few centuries.

Alternately, a purely exploration/adventure based DLC set in Atmora. It would require very little work relative to making somewhere like Blackmarsh (which sounds like a tropical swamp on crack, virtually everything from the trees up would have to be new).

I want them to make $40 expansion packs that bring the full content of previous games into Skyrim.
I bet that would sell like hotcakes.
I kinda miss the good old expansion packs, though the full content of earlier games would be a bit much for an expansion pack.

Haha I'm not really sure what I want in the form of DLC or expansion packs, but I have been very happy so far with Bethesda's expansions so I think if they keep it up I will be happy. But most of the expectations some of the others in this thread have seem like they would be far bigger then Skyrim itself, in some cases it would by more then 20x more work, I highly doubt anything like that would be possible let alone viable for an expansion.

I want the Werebears we were promised were in skyrim by the older elder scrolls games.
I can't believe that Daggerfall still has the best selection of creature diseases.

They've already managed shivering isles. It's not that much of a stretch

Hey guys!
So with Skyrim out for about for about two weeks now I?m sure most of us that have it have already plunged hours of game play into it (around 70 hours for me :s )
But I?m wondering what you guys would like to see in the future from this game what shape would you like the dlc to take?
I have been reading online that a 19 year old Finnish guy has found a mass of land mass pass the borders of Skyrim so I?m hoping that this is related to dlc maybe a return to Cyridil maybe Morrowind ? I hope so it will be nice to actually purchase dlc that feels worth the price and that add loads more hours of game play.
Much like Knighhts of the Nine or Shivering Isles, I'd rather play an expansion than a heap of DLC that I may or may not want to pay for individually. two in 2012, or one in 2012 and in 2013.

Yeah, the map thing you are talking about is basically the scaled down versions of all of Tamriel.

Though that may sound promising, I heard it was just for modders to have an easier time. I don't know what they would possibly have in mind with all of Tamriel. Unless they are planning the most epic expansion pack ever.

Sorry to hijack this forum, *Spoiler* but I just finished Skyrim and there was no end credits, or end cinematics, it was just as if I finished another quest and that was it... I finished the quest, talked to the dragons and well I was done with the primary missions. Did anyone have this, or was it another glictch?
Sorry that you're getting bombarded with this, but part of the appeal with Elder Scrolls games is the main questline is really only a small percentage of the game.

Though go talk to the Greybeards and then the Blades. I haven't experienced it yet because I refused to kill our winged friend, but I think there is a little bit more to it. At least more dialogue.

Edit: I am extremely excited for what they have planned for the future of this game. I'm hoping it's more along the lines of Shivering Isles and less Knights of the Nine, because I wanna see what extra thing they can add to the game.

I would like to see something to do with the Akaviri though.
^^This, a thousand times this. The place seems amazing. Also/Or I would like to see an improvement on the number of spells I can select and have spellcraft again. One last thing, give me back the spell from Oblivion that allowed me to change how much weight I could carry, please!

Well that's how you pull people in for a buy, you give them their moneys worth and then some.
They already have all the resources and the engine is actually still the same one so it couldn't take more then a year to port it over, easy money if you ask me.

I would like to see a lot of the things I was hoping would be in the game, added back to it. Ideally spell crafting, more artifacts, actual radiant story. I also wouldn't mind some more quests that were less fetching and more doing. I would also like to see more change in the world based on quests done. A lot of them have no impact on anything.
In regards to new areas, I definitely wouldn't mind a foray into Black Marsh, or really, anywhere alien. I really miss the bizarre and alien landscapes of Morrowind compared to the ones of Oblivion and Skyrim. Although, Oblivion at least had the Planes of Oblivion, which I enjoyed.

As much as I'd enjoy it, I cannot see them releasing DLC of Morrowind or another area, would take an age to re-render the graphics and population.

I wouldn't mind to see some rebuilding based DLC (based on the outcome of the war), maybe an invasion to help fend off with your selected side.

I can't think what they migh do though.

I think the DLC will be pretty large, on the level of the expansions to Morrowind (Tribunal and Bloodmoon) and Oblivion (Knights of the Nine and Shivering Isles) since Bethesda said they would only be doing larger DLC this time round. But I highly doubt that they will add in an entire province. That would be far too large and take up far too much time. They might as well just make it a new game. And even if by some chance they do add in a whole province it won't be Morrowind or Cyrodil. We visited them too recently to warrant them bringing the whole places back. If they do decide to return they will probably only allow us to go to a small part of the fuller region. Like perhaps the western parts of Morrowind. But I still think it's more likely it will be a totally new place. Or maybe we will go to another Daedric realm. That would be really cool to see. I like seeing how weird and different the Daedric realms are compared to Nirn.

i would pay 10$ just to have a spell crafting system.
and adding the part of Morrowind that boarders on Skyrim would be nice, maybe have a Aldmeri strike force land there(i know it would make no sense to attack that way but screw logic)

Some new spells would be nice, alteration really needs a larger array of spells for example and a spell that allows me to float downwards and glide around would be awesome too. Larger enemies to bring down and ships you can actually sail would also be appreciated although the engine might not support those things.
Larger enemies? Are the dragons not big enough?
I think EDF once spoiled me and now I crave massive enemies to bring down, I bet psychoanalysts would have something to say about that XD

Raj hopes for more Daedric based quests!

And more Sheogorath if possible. He gets Raj. Not like Wife Mjoll. Raj want to sit around and talk about cheese with his good friend Sheo, but Mjoll say, "Your crazy! No one there."
Well Mjoll, someone is there! And he listens to Raj's problems!

.... Sorry, Raj have to much sweets. Khajiit on road have moon sugar sale. 10% off purchases over 10,000 gold. Had to take advantage of deal! Though Wife Mjoll will be angry when learns i sold shop's entire inventory at half price.

Oh, and i guess other places. Raj not care so much about going back to Cyrodill. Did not have great time there. Girls at brothel want many tips. What does Raj look like, 1st National Bank of Nirn? Maybe Black Marsh, or possibly Valenwood. Raj has been neither place, so bound to be many treasures to.... "find", in places he sees as.... "Abandoned".
I don't know what I just read, but I very much enjoy it.

I think I heard something about a petition?
