Heik. I have read the text, and the signs are everywhere.
What you saw was only the beginning.

As my level has increased I have noticed a increase in dragon attacks.

Level 20, at Thalmor Embassy quest. HAVE YET TO ENCOUNTER A NON SCRIPTED DRAGON. That is scary.... starting to think this is a bug. I've even done the beginning quests for winterhold college, and explored tons of places.
They must have caught the flu or something....

I currently have 11 unused dragon souls. I've played about 90 hours total, and I have 19 shouts, and 14 of them have all three words, so... around 59 dragons killed so far. I don't particularly care for the dragons who don't seem to want to land, because I have two swords, not two bows.

Also, I was attacked randomly three times at the college when almost all of the magi were outside. the first time was on the wall, and I didn't know a dragon was even nearby until Lydia started running after it, the second it just dropped in, almost right on top of me, and the third decided that flying around getting shot at for a while was a good idea before landing.

Other than the fact that a dragons spawns literally every time I fast travel to Winterhold College, no.

I literally had like three or four skeletons sitting on top of each other before, I shit you not. EVERY. TIME. Only maybe three or four times have I fast traveled there with no "RAAAAAAAWR!"

One time I even spawned right in the courtyard nose-to-nose with a Frosty. Nearly shit my pants.

I don't have the game, but now I want to fuck some dragons. Not in the sexual way.

Ok so right now im being attacked by 3 ancient dragons -.- . Ive killed about 11 dragons in the past 20 minutes. THIS IS RIDICULOUS IM OUT OF HEALTH AND I CANNOT EXPLORE ANYMORE WITHOUT BEING BOMBARDED BY DRAGONS AHHHH! I mean its so annoying there must be an error with my generator.Im on level 49 and I have the elder scroll but I still havent really done any main quests. Now im going and looking for the standing Stones for the achievement. And I cant without fighting atleast 2 ancient dragons every 13 minutes.Anyone know what I can do to slow the generation down? I don't really fast travel. I don't know what to do. I might take an arrow to the knee.

Worst dragon attack I experienced? Two of them. In Markarth. MARKARTH.

If none of you have every fought a dragon in Markarth, count your blessings. The place is the worst possible area to fight a dragon, let alone two of them. The tall buildings and cliffs block any ranged shots, so you have to run through the maze of stairs and walkways to get a clear line of sight, and when they DO land, it is inevitably on the opposite side of the city from you. And since the place is such a maze, by the time you can reach them, they're already in the air again. Not to mention the fact that dodging will often end with you leaping off a walkway. Stock health potions.

So yeah. Two elder dragons, in the worst possible location for a dragon showdown in the game. I'm lucky I survived.

I hate Markarth so much.

Worst dragon attack so far?

Not really had a massively difficult one so far but did have a very entertaining one where I was attacking one of the forts for the imperial side of the civil war questline. I summoned Odaviing just to see if he could deal with the stormcloaks so I could just sit back and watch, when 2 Elder Dragons showed up.

Whole place turned into chaos. Imperials fighting Stormcloaks fighting Dragons and me just there in the middle of it (I joined in when the dragons showed) and it was at night so it looked pretty damn impressive too.

Can I trade luck with you? I can't run into dragons if my life depends on it! I spent a half hour trying to aggro first dragon I had seen in days but couldn't hit it at all. Does higher difficulty equal more dragons? Cause I took it off master when I was one shot in best light armor in game..

I don't mind the random dragons.

Also, might I say that the dragons are far more interesting to fight so long as your not in the same cover for more than one fire/frost breath.

getting attacked by 4 at once on master setting thou may kinda screw me over :p least till i enchant my armor :) would be a fight and a half and look forward to it :D

EDIT: wow I didn't even see that this is a necro. ITS ALIVE!!

I hate dragons in Skyrim, so I do what a lot of others do. I skip the main quest entirely. As there is literally nothing gained from doing the main quest other than a shout to specifically use on dragons, and a few other shouts like call dragon, there is no reason to do it more than once.

That its also the dullest quest chain in the game doesn't hurt. not that it has lots of competition.

The only things dragons are good for are money, which is never an issue with all the free leather walking about whiterun, and souls.

I don't like shouting except for Unrelenting Force, and if I have to give that up in exchange for no dragons then c'est la vie.

I also like dragon scale armor minus the helmet, but glass is good enough.

I don't list dragon weapons as a use for them because it would mean buying Dawnguard. Which is something I don't want to, and obnoxiously do not even HAVE the option to, do on PS3.

I wouldn't call that smart, more stupid. Attacking the Dovahkiin?
Especially with my character in Skyrim they'd be dead in 2 seconds or so, even an elder. Dual Daedric Swords + Elemental Fury. Waaaay to many attacks in one second, and it drops. It just seems to like spamming them at you though.

Personally I don't see enough dragons. I can play for hours without seeing one and when I finally do see one, 9 out of 10 times it just flies around and I can't get its attention. It's pretty annoying since I lack Dragon Souls.
