Simple question for all you Skyrim players out there. In all your hours of playtime, have you used console commands for anything other than buggy quests?

If the answer is "No": Would you consider it?
If the answer is "Yes": What was it that made you give in and press that temptress that is the Tilde key?

In my case the answer is yes and I'm damn ashamed of myself for giving in. I was just so sick of having to head back to the Sanctuary to drop off more loot/dragon scales/dragon bones so often, so I cracked open the console and added an extra few hundred onto my carrying capacity. After that I used God Mode once or twice in order to carry all of my stuff from one house to the next rather than having to go back and forth and back and forth and back and forth....if only I wasn't such a damn hoarder.

There was also the time a quest in a dungeon got buggy and I had to use the console to reset the position of a quest important NPC but like I said, buggy quest.

Responses....GO!

I've used tcl and unlock a few times for when I'm really not in the mood to find a path on the other side of a mountain/waste half my lockpicks.

And one time I got stuck between some rocks, so I tcled out of there.

If you count using the console to give merchants enough gold to buy all my loot, then yes, all the goddamn time.

No, I haven't.
Also, does using the console for buggy quests disable the achievements?

I try desperately to not use "the squiggle" as I refer to it (~).

I've not changed my stats/God Mode'd it. But I HAVE player.additem F "5000".

I'M SORRY, OKAY? D:

It was just once a few times! My second character's a mage and it just gets so expensive sometimes..

tcled through Saarhal, because I forgot to pick up the dragonshout, and I couldn't get back in. And once to boost my enchanting from 90 to 100, because I couldn't be bothered to go out and farm more souls, something I could easily do, just to level enchanting 10 levels.

No because I play Skyrim on the Xbox but I would if I could. Mostly just to fix various bugs, like the bug that won't let me re-marry.

Nope, console player.
Likewise. Even if I wasn't, I play vanilla. A game does not get better when you turn on god mode, give yourself the touch of death, and just fly around the map. The novelty wears off fast as lightning.

I have a cheat character who I fool around on sometimes. Good fun. I thought my computer had died when I spawned 10 alduins though!

Sometimes you can do some funny stuff, like spawn 20 bandits in solitude.

Not had any bugged quests, console player though. If I could I wouldn't cheat though, it's not a game where cheats and there for fun so it would make me feel bad :(

I don't think that's a bug. =x

I cheat all the freaking time, mostly because I can't be bothered to interrupt a questing run to dump two hundred and fifty pounds of loot in various merchants across Skyrim. So I use God mode when something really awesome comes up that I *have* to pick up, or when I'm told I've picked up too many valuables to fast-travel.

Yes, increased carrying capacity. I thought it was annoying how you would deal with it and the annoying UI to work out what to drop (I didn't know of the steed stone). I also didn't want to stack stamina because I was a mage nor pickpocket a lot.

Open lock. The pick lock minigame annoys me. It would be sweet where if you broke a pick, your next pick was the sameish position as where the previous broke. Not, resets back to 12 o'clock. I thought picklocking was trial and error. Having to remember what precise angle you were to begin with is just a ball ache.

I cheat to get past retarded things (though now I don't need to cheat to increase capacity).

I use the console commands to give myself reagents/crafting mats that are available from vendors, but annoying to get. The best example would be daedra hearts. Alchemy vendors sell them, but to get one I'd have to jump all over the world checking every alchemy vendor several times each before they actually have one in stock. Instead, I just give myself one with the console and remove however much gold its worth.

Beyond that, I'll also use console commands to give myself crafting Smithing/Enchanting elixirs (the best +% pots you can find, not make), for the same reason.

Everything else I do legit though.

I used console commands each playthrough to add a few non combat perks, and on some of my characters I gave myself 500k gold.

I also added 40 mana to my Breton, since he is a mage class with default mana. That's just plain stupid.
