Skyrim just got released 10 hours early in Australia

My steam copy has been downloading for the past 2 days. Only at 75%, and downloading at 6.3kb/s. Australian release is in 4 hrs

I heard that Target accidentally sold a copy early so other retailers were allowed to sell early if they wanted to.

its because target broke the release date apparently, if u say its supposed to be out apparantly they will give it to you like dumbasses according to my friends , also according to them once one store breaks the release date they take the blame and the others are free to follow.... unfortunately i got it from steam, bugger

So funny when a guy in my TAFE class recieved this text before the break between classes, cause that rallied a good chunk of people to get up and leave the class early to go to EB and pick up the game. Rallying cry - "Skyrim Street date broken! Lets go get it!"

In case anyone doesn't know yet, you can pre load it by going to your steam library and right clicking then selecting pre-load info and clicking start pre-load.

Just out of curiosity - I'd kind of like to see where this was heard....
I heard game have been trying to rival steam in sales, and wanted to delay steams version by a month so they could dominate the PC market, this might have been their way of getting back at them - so it certainly wouldn't surprise me.

Oh and if you pre-ordered Skyrim, you SHOULD be able to pre-load it right now. I've already done so for mine
