So, now that Skyrim is out and everyone is having a great time wailing on bandits with swords and stuff, I guess the modding community will get to work on mods.

So, who mods are you guys and gals hoping to see in the future?

Personally, I'm hoping to see a Nehrim port from Oblivion. I'd love more than anything to explore that german fantasy world once more. Other than that though, I can imagine that sooner or later we'll see a Game of Thrones world created, alongside a new Morrowind mod and a Cyrodiil mod.

UI is fine you whiner.....

The first mods will probally be the nudity ones since they are one of the most popular ones in Oblivion.

Then will come the God mods; that give you extremely powerful items, and bases.

Then will come the changes to acual game play.

Apparently one of the first mods to hit was one to let you kill the children, I haven't confirmed that, but its what a friend told me.

No UI mods will probably first regardless of the current UI as people tend to prefer the custom UIs they can add to themselves. Also you know just because someone doesn't like the UI doesn't make them a whiner.

Any first will be the UI and mini tweaks like Elven maps from Oblivion, then will be weapon and out mods etc, then there will be character models and nude mods, then there will be mechanic mods and major overhauls, then there will be massive edition mods like OOO, Lost Spires and all of those mods to turn Oblivion into a Hentai tentacle game.

I'd be all for a UI mod.

I've only spent a short time with the game but I'd like to be able to toggle weapon/spell combinations using the number keys like a typical FPS game.

I'd imagine some more time with the game will make the whole experience less awkward though.

Fix the UI, jesus christ it's bad. I didn't think it'd be possible for shit to get worse than Oblivion's, but they managed it.
Really? I haven't found the UI to be that bad. I reckon it's fairly intuitive. All that shits me is the time it takes to switch between weapons mid-fight can get you killed.

TES modding stuff is so powerful, but it sometimes takes years for the amazing stuff to hit-- a lot of work goes into mods.

Just earlier this year we had that super-compilation mod for morrowwind, and a new total conversion mod for oblivion.

I love new areas, and I especially love evil-wizard-tower mods.

I'm hoping to see a mod that allows you to tame and ride dragons. That would be frikin' awesome.

I'd prefer a UI mod first, and a texture re-work second. Higher resolution textures, not just an upscale.

The UI is 'okay', but it's suited for consoles and controllers. It involves using 'columns' that you scroll through. It's disorganized and mostly unintuitive, especially the 'favorites' menu, because it throws in everything, muddled up and hard to browse. The main inventory menu is 'okay', since it is divided into Armor, Weapons, Potions, Food, Books, etc. Again though, it uses columns, and doesn't make use of horizontal space which I prefer.

The 3D rotating models of every item in the game is pretty cool, though I'd like a bit more descriptions for most items.

I'm holding out for a ground to air missile launcher. Or maybe a Russian Tunguska mobile anti-air vehicle as a 'steed'.

The one mod I'm really missing from Oblivion is a simple one that tweaks the chances of being able to recover arrows (increasing it to about 99%). It's just annoying when you can see the arrow sticking out of something, but can't retrieve it!

Yea, frankly there are a -ton- of mods (Oblivion, Fallout and Vegas) that are so clever and amazing, that I am missing them in Skyrim.

Skyrim though.. is just great. It has that wonderful new world smell.

First mod i'd like to see is proper UI with normal inventory screen. Sorry, the console list doesn't cut it for me.
Second mod i'd like to see is re-modelling the characters, elves especially, because as usual they look just bad.
Third mod i'd like to see is high-rez texture pack, because really... some textures in Skyrim are just terrible.
Among next things i'd like to see what people can do with the magic system, not really loads of fun spells to fool around with Maybe a decent combo system for melee weapons as well, depending on how flexible the Creation Kit will be. And of course all the minor bug fixes mods that will be more stable and faster than official patches.

Let them fix the shit UI first, I say.
Agreed. That's the only glaring flaw that's bothering me right now. Everything else is either a nitpick, or something that will manifest itself after a lot more hours of play.

...it's clunkiest UI I've seen in years. It's awkward and unintuitive with kb/m.

I have it on PS3, so I'm not sure when I'll be getting any modding opportunities, but I'd like some one-hit kill mods. An arrow to a dude's unprotected head should kill him, not reduce his HP bar by half.

And longer, physics-enabled hair.

UI is fine for me, but I can see where it'd be a hassle for PC gamers.
