None. Bollocks to all of them

(bah! humbug)

No, but seriously, the only upcoming release I'm probably gonna buy this year will be the MGS HD collection, and then ME3 when it finally comes out. I have no interest in the shooters, and unless I really <3 a franchise very very much I tend to buy games out of sync - for example when Revelations comes out I'll probably be buying Brotherhood for a third of the price.

Skyrim and AC, narritive focuesed games are always the way to go
I would agree, but I played Oblivion for the first time a few months ago and the quests (main one especially) bored me to tears. It's a decent enough sandbox for role-playing in, but narratively the game sucked balls. I hope that's improved in Skyrim but I'm not holding my breath.

Skyrim, AC Revelations. I would buy Arkham and other highly rated/anticipated games but uni life means that a)affording games must now be a calculated effort with some sacrifices made, and b)buying more than two would be pointless as Skyrim alone risks distracting me from work in my free time while AC has great replay (free roaming) value and a multiplayer mode that should hopefully last longer than the previous version.

In short, I don't have the time or money to get all the games I like, so I'm buying Skyrim for it's length of playtime and overall quality and quantity appeal. While AC provides the most interesting storyline and unique multiplayer.

I've already pre-ordered Skyrim, Battlefield 3 and Assassin's Creed: Revelations.

I'll be getting Saint's Row 3 but I haven't pre-ordered it.

Skyrim, Uncharted 3 and maybe Saints Row 3. Battlefield and COD I cannot be arsed with anymore and I had enough with Assassins creed as well, its the same game over and over. I barely have time to play vaguely original games anymore I cannot be doing with the sequels.

Uncharted 3 and saints Row only if they add enough new stuff to intrest me

Of the ones listed, I'll be getting TESV: Skyrim... eventually.

For this actual winter, I'll be getting The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword in November, Star Wars: The Old Republic in December, and Mass Effect 3 in March. Nothing else planned, besides working on cutting down my backlog.

Skyrim, Assassins Creed Revelations and apparently Modern Warfare 3. The first two I have pre-ordered and my brother says he's pre-ordering the last one. Suits me fine, I'll get my play out of them all.

Battlefield 3 is planned to be bought when it's cheaper. Saints Row 3 is planned to be bought when I become incapable of witnessing the experience.

Totally done with the repackaged crap since Call of Duty WaW and Skyrim looks fantastic as well as Assassins Creed.

I am just hours away from BF3 and Halo Anniversary is my next day one buy. Skyrim will probably be for Christmas.

I'm not sure about anything else at the moment.

Before the year's up, I'll probably end up adding Saints Row The Third, Arkham City, Dark Souls, and Modern Warfare 3 to my library. They should be enough to keep me busy for the next two months. Uncharted 3 is a definite buy down the line too. Everything else might get buried under all the other stuff that's coming out in 2012 though.

Skyrim and SR3 are the only ones I consider interesting of the bunch. From what I hear, Skyrim is going to be pretty great in many ways, and Saint's Row is, well, Saint's Row *Jumps naked out of helicopter onto an old lady*

The better question is, will I be able to run them on my 1'n'[small]1/2[/small] year old laptop, and will I get either at a discount (no way I'm paying 50-60 dollars for a basic version of a game)
Yea, Skyrim will be pretty good... once they patch it up. So I'm going to wait a few months (hopefully it wont take them 6 months to patch this one) to get that.

I'm definitely getting Saints Row 3. Considering how much I played SR2, I should get it just on principle.

BF3 is on the way (I rented it but I doubt I'll keep it) and my wife will probably get MW3 because that's the one all her friends get.

I can't possibly afford to buy all of the big releases for the year this year, so I'm prioritising.
1st - ESV:Skyrim, 2nd - Saints Row 3, 3rd - Dark Souls, 4th - AC:Revelations, 5th - Uncharted 3
