There are just so many Skyrim threads, I couldn't find the big questions-megathread one, so I'm just gonna have to ask here.

I went to my wife in Breezehome, Whiterun, and as I sat next to her in front of the fire in the front room, I saw a brown-cloaked figure with a steel mace at his hip just going out the front door. Assuming it was a thief, I pulled my sword and dashed outside to give him a good what-for, but when I went out...Nobody. I even reloaded the autosave, and surveilled the door, hoping to catch him. But..still nothing.

So has anybody else had this problem, or any other mysterious occurrences? And can somebody tell me what happened?

A guard kept following me into my house, asking me if something was wrong and then promptly leaves. It's just a bug but at first I had the same reaction: "WTF are you doing in my house?!"

He obviously fucked your wife. You should kill her as punishment.

Seriously, no, I've never seen anyone in my house except for Lydia.

Lydia is dead. Her steel sword has been enchanted, named 'Lydia' and mounted on the plaque at the top of the stairs.

What if...nah. There's no such thing as ghosts.

I've seen the Headless Horseman roaming the roads. Tried to talk to him, but couldn't. Tried to attack him, but couldn't. (He was a ghost, as was his horse).

Finally! I have three friends with this game and I am the only one who has ever seen him.

I had Lydia keep asking me if I was lost whenever I walked into my house. I thought about going up and backhanding her to put her in her place.

I've seen him a couple times. I tried to run him down to stab him in the face but never could.

I have random people from Whiterun in my house all the damn time.

Sometimes it's a guard, sometimes it's a random citizen.
The liberties these people take with my home...

If think its a bug if they are talking to you when you zone in. If they are mid sentence they follow you in (or out where applicable).

There was a NPC that died during one of the major questlines, and about a month (In-game time obviously) later he showed up in the place where he normally hanged out. He only have generic NPC dialogue when I talked with him, but it was weird.

Nope just a random dead dog in the middle of the road (not wolf)
and a cow randomly spawned on top of a snowy mountain.

I've come across random citizens in my house on a few rare occasions. I would suggest going to the bannered mare to search for anyone who matches your description. I think I remember a cloaked guy sitting at one of the tables to the right of the door...

I find it funny that all three of us saw what was a non-hostile npc riding along the road and tried to kill it.

hmm... might be because he's quest-immortal. i slayed a guard, hopped down and saw his probable ghost (i will also base hat on the fact that his first words to me (which were incorrect) were the last guys final words:
"A guard might get nervous, someone approaches with his weapon drawn."
i didnt draw my weapon.

Yeah I want to know who keeps bringing a naked corpse to my gay elf wedding.

All of my guests are afraid of it for some reason.

When you kill your first dragon outside of Whiterun, I constantly kept having the guards stop and look at me, "Wait.. I know you."

I figured aiding the attempt to kill a fucking dragon would excuse my petty theft.

What would make that story better, is if you used a black soul gem to capture a soul trapped Lydia, and enchanted her sword with that.

Seriously now, I have no idea who that one guy is.

I have to go with that other guy and agree that your wife is being unfaithful.

I thought the point of Skyrim was to murder, pillage, and rape everything in sight without getting caught and then killing everything else when you do get caught...Are you telling me I've been doing it wrong this whole time? What? I'm supposed to SAVE them from dragons not feed the children to the flying lizards? BLASPHEMY!!!

Oh no, he certainly died during the quest, and didn't get back up afterwards. I didn't kill him either.
