You should add more to your post, don't want to be banned for something stupid like not having enough content.
I'm not unfamiliar with draconian mods. ;)
I noticed on your health bar your down to your last red, the health system is stupid and the most common form of people leaving the escapist seems to be death by banning.

The other strange thing that comes to mind is that I was galloping about on my new horsie, when I come upon a small watering hole. There's a skeletal arm holding an orquish longsword in the middle.
I ran into that arm as well, but it was holding a glass sword! That was really strange. It was only the skeletal arm and that floated off once I picked my shiny new sword.
I heard that sword changes depending on the choices you make in game, do a lot of bad things it'll be orcish and do a lot of good things it'll be steel although apparently it can change into glass as well so maybe there are multiple swords that you can gain from the arm in the water.
Doing good things? Huh. I suppose I have done some good things outside the Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood :D or maybe those are counted as good things... Well, I was pleasantly surprised by the offering of the skeletal hand. Be it good or bad. Now I need to go and make them daggers to get to the advanced level of glass smithing.

So who was the NPC? Who wears a brown cloak with a hood, and carries a mace? It wasn't the thief uniform, since they have trousers.

This was not trousers.
This sounds like a vigilant of stendarr to me...
I thought so too at first, but the Vigilant uniform is a greenish colour, whereas this was medieval monk-brown.

There are just so many Skyrim threads, I couldn't find the big questions-megathread one, so I'm just gonna have to ask here.

I went to my wife in Breezehome, Whiterun, and as I sat next to her in front of the fire in the front room, I saw a brown-cloaked figure with a steel mace at his hip just going out the front door. Assuming it was a thief, I pulled my sword and dashed outside to give him a good what-for, but when I went out...Nobody. I even reloaded the autosave, and surveilled the door, hoping to catch him. But..still nothing.

So has anybody else had this problem, or any other mysterious occurrences? And can somebody tell me what happened?
Easy. It was probably an NPC who had been talking to you outside the house, hadn't finished his sentence, and went inside to do so. Happens all the time. It's a bug, but eh. No biggie.
The only person I can think of, whom I've mentioned in an earlier post, is Adrianne Avenicci, and to be quite honest, I really wouldn't mind if she was dropping by to visit my wife. Just need to hire a Thieves Guild guy to paint a picture.
No, like, if you walk near someone (often a guard/random citizen), they'll start to say something in your direction. You don't need to be interacting with them for it to happen; they just need to be 'triggered' by your presence.
And the only person I walked past was Adrianne Avenicci. Nobody else fits the description. It sure as hell wasn't a Whiterun guard, and this was in the evening, nobody else was out.

I have only discoverd one mystrey so far, and i'm still trying to solve it...

Ok so in The Bee and Barb I dropped some items that were weighing me down: A carrot, some steel boots and a honey-nut treat. I dropped them nest to Mjoll and Vulwulf. I went off to collect sone shinies (by pick-pocketing the locals) when I notaced it was getting dark, so I headed back to the inn.

As I enterd, the first thing to catch my eye was that my dropped equpment was all gone, and Vulwulf was too! Mjoll was still there, though. Same place as always. So I bought a bed for the night and went upstairs to my room.

Open the door and BAM! Vulwolf Snow-Shod is on the floor in my room, dead. Theres blood on the stairs and blood on my door, someone has murded him, and Mjoll is my suspect.

I need all the help I can get, who killed him?

Most recent weird thing to happen to me was turning into a werewolf only to have my weapons still in hand. I had the joy of wiping out a rather large group of bandits as a katana wielding werewolf.

That aside I'm pretty sure I once found the main dragon for the game dead near whiterun only to run into him alive and kicking on my next mission.

I also had the joy of running into the headless ghost who was dragging bears who at that moment decided that i was a better target.

I also have one and half men standing outside Whiterun. I can't remember his (their?) name, but it is fairly amusing to see them. It's like Dr. Evil and Mini-Me. Both talk to me independently, only the other one is chest deep in the ground. This has probably been fixed by the patch, haven't played for a few days.

It was also funny to see a Whiterun Guard fly in the air after being hit by a giant. Boy he flew like a rocket. The blast was so violent that when he landed, he was naked :D
That wasn't the strange thing, though. They just put that there and put a leveled sword. The strange thing was that my horse went poof without a sign... I haven't had one since.

How did you pull that off? I've done everything for her and she just ignores me. 20 hours in and I still haven't figured out how to wed someone :p (even though I own breezehome in Whiterun)
Are you wearing an Amulet of Mara? That's the only way they'll show interest in you.

I've had the luck/misfortune of not having anything too much out of the ordinary happen to me...Except, I think Lydia was jealous I got married. She just disappeared from my home.

Kind of miss her.
Only show interest if I have bling? Thats kind of rude :p

I was engaged in an epic battle with some wraith dude named Krosis (I think), anyways many load games later I kill him/it and walk over to see Lydia lying face down in the snow with her neck bent at an odd angle D: So I shouted her to the nearest cliff by the sea and gave her full burial rights.

Skyrim travel just doesnt feel the same anymore

I know the feeling. Also, after my little incident in Breezehome, I didn't feel safe, so I packed Lydia into my bag and mounted her on the wall in Vlindrel Hall. I already have a spot reserved for Mjall's battleaxe...though, really, the fact I've planned her funeral spot says a lot about my companions' average lifespan.

*sigh*

Alright, then if I had to guess, you probably ran into one of the folks who run the Temple of Kynareth. They wear hooded robes, and have single-handed weapons. Swing by the temple during the day and see if any of them fit the description of the person you saw. It might've been Danica.

Failing that, I wouldn't worry. Lydia's like a home security system. So unless your burglar is screwing both your wife and your housecarl, he won't be back again.

...and if he is back again, just admit defeat. You're dealing with some sort of Casanova.

...wait, say what now?

Never mind what I said before. If you're mounting the bodies of your former comrades-in-arms as trophies, the person in your house will never come back again. And if they do, it'll be with an army.

Very early on in the game I had an assassin attack me near Ivarstead and he had a letter on him saying that the dark brotherhood had a contract on me.
I am still rather low leveled and had that happen too
did you help the stormcloaks take over Whiterun?

I figured he/she was hired by the former leader of Whiterun because its mentioned hes vengeful

So this guy gave me a bow of snares to look after, saying he'd come back for it. 70 hours of playtime later...nothing.

Now play Skyrim, and have your mind blown.
Yeah I've noticed other one's too. It's pretty wierd. I figured it was some sort of merchants sign or something. To say that they have paid protection.

Lydia's dead. Her sword is named Lydia and adorns my wall.

Lydia is the steel sword she once wielded. Before she died. I enchanted the sword and named it in her honour, so she'd still protect my house even in death.

That's...that's actually pretty cool. I never thought of that as a way of dedication.

I figured of the Player can barge into random houses in most RPGs, why can't NPC show up when ever they want in the Player's Home.

Take your items, loot your treasure chests, smash your pots and demand quest info.

Now excuse me there is a Dragon here that I need to kill real quick.

d'aww, thats so nice.
i don't even let Lydia out of my bedroom for fear of her face becoming magnetised.
Ysolda isnt too fond of this plan, so i occasionally let Lydia have a run around the kitchen.

OT: yesterday, when i was with Dolphin-laday and Esbeard, we were attacked by two dragons. the second one actually managed to break their ability to walk more than ten feet at a time before needing a five minute break.
