It occurs to me that anyone with Dragon blood would probably have scaly, spiky leathery skin in their genes, so go Argonian.

Light armor, conjured bow, and dead thralls of the bandits you've killed. There's something bad ass about creating a weapon out of nothing, killing someone with it, and brining them back from the dead to serve you for eternity.

I had so much fun playing a Khajit thief/archer. Half the people never even knew what hit them, and with the right bonuses & equipment, you can one-shot a weaker dragon if you get the sneak attack bonus.

Tony Stark Run.

Heavy Armor, focus on Destruction Magic and Unarmed for melee.

Or find a mod that allows equipment throwing and try for Captain America. Light Armor and Block.

I'm currently playing an orc crossbowman.

It's actually kind of awesome. Flying into a berserk rage in order to shoot people is such a weird image that it kind of tides me over. Plus, I like orcs and I like crossbows.

"Don't abuse crafting" is always a good challenge. It's way too easy to end up with legendary double enchanted daedric gear or enough potions to ensure you actually cannot die. I'd say avoiding that is less a challenge and more a necessity in order to have fun.

Necromantic Illusionist Assassin. Nothing quite like getting your victim to kill themselves by getting them into a frenzy and having them fight their allies or using the dead to fight on my behalf.

I'm currently running with this build as an imperial (early game use of Voice of the Emperor), it's pretty funny actually.

Say I sneak into a cave of bandits. I will proceed directly to the chieftain (using a combination of muffle and invisibility to remain undetected), calm him and slit his throat (Sneak Perk Assassins blade + Shrouded gloves = 30x backstab damage with daggers... Also using Mehrunes Razor for random chance to instakill), then I resurrect his corpse to kill off his fellow bandits.

The only problem is my character is like glass. Pretty much any 2 handed melee character above level 20 can kill me in one non-powered swing and high level archers and mages can obliterate me in a single shot. So I rely heavily on the sneak skill to avoid detection, Illusion to do most of the damage and conjuration to create distractions.

That said, despite the fact I have a bounty of well over 5000 in both the Haafinger and Whiterun Holds, I have not once been arrested or killed by the guards.

The only grief in the early game was dealing with Daedra, Dwarven Animunculi and the undead (particularly Vampires), since direct illusion spells don't work on them until I reached level 90 in the illusion skill and got the Perk "Master of the Mind".

My Fondest memory of that build was getting assaulted by a dozen city guards in whiterun after I botched an assassination. I cast a aoe Frenzy spell (Mayhem?) and then cast invisibility and proceeded to escaped as the ENTIRE CITY OF WHITERUN rioted. Ended up losing a dozen store owners in process. It was funny as shit, but I had to reload a save because I essentially made Whiterun a ghost town (bar a few essential npcs).
try and get youre hands on summoning daedra lords. theyre fun when you cant frenzy somone or revive any bodies (FYI i played the same way as you and it was fun as hell, although i focussed into conjuring and sneaking with a little bit of illusion)

Heavy Armor, Enchanting, Alteration, Restoration and Illusion. Use no weapons or destruction spells, and the only armor (As in actual armor. Clothes, rings etc are fine) you can use is gauntlets.

Grab the Fists of Steel perk, and Daedric gauntlets. Smith them up as high as you want/can and pile on fortify unarmed. Resto to heal yourself, alteration for extra armor. It's surprisingly effective.

It's a stealthier equivalent to the "Pants Exploded" method of killing in Fallout. Just don't try it on Forsworn unless your stealth is ridiculous.

Shouting? heh, try punching, youtube that stuff, its hilarious.
Go try and punch a Dragon priest in the jaw, that's a good challenge, or a giant, Right in the lapland.

Most people be a Nord or something, why not try being a Khajit or argonian? if you become a vampire they look so cool! :3

also try doing sword and shield, or just bow, or maybe the roguish double knife! and only upgrade light armor? Too many people try and find the heaviest, largest two-handed sword they can find and that's them done.

Oh or be solely a Hand-to-hand combat necromancer!
I'm solely robes and archery...

If you're on the PC, try out the mod "Alternate Start- Live Another Life" http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=75889890&searchtext=alternate+start

it lets you start off from a choice of a number of places. You can start off as a bandit, vampire, necromancer, new recruit to any of the four guilds, new recruit to the army, a vigilant of stendarr, etc. It doesnt really change much other than where you start and what equipment you start with, but it has good roleplay potential.

You could try a dragonless run as they won't spawn until you get the dragonstone :)

It seems I'm gonna have to do a new character for Dawnguard though (otherwise I can't finish The Gift as I married Aela).

I tried a cool little thing once. Some odd leveling.

Don't level up until you complete a questline. Then when you do DON'T take any perk points. Just take health/magic/stamina. If you must take perks, put it only in NON-COMBAT skills. Speech, Pickpocket, the three crafting schools, etc.

Order I played:

Companions
College
Thieves
Brotherhood (Killed them)
Main
Daedric Artifacts
Dragon Priests

Now I'm currently working on Dawnguard.

TAKE FOLLOWERS. The game gets very challenging with sudden difficulty spikes! Very fun. :D

An argonian stealth/assassin build is so much fun. Nothing beats that dagger perk where they do 16x damage. Slicing almost everyone's throat (or the slightly less cool back-stab) is incredibly fun. All the thief perks are pretty interesting except lockpicking, the lockpick tree sucks troll gonads.
