Things I have experienced in Skyrim so far:

1. Attacked by "thugs" because apparently someone thinks I stole from them (Moira?). 3 armed thugs jumped me in the wild, and I beat them down (barely). Found a note on them saying they were just supposed to "scare" me or some such thing...

2. I was riding my horse and an argonian appeared sneaking around me. I hopped off the horse and the argonian attacked, revealing itself as an "assassin", which I promptly killed in 2 or 3 blows. Hardly much of an assassin, it didn't even attack me while I was on the horse... it did decide to dual-wield tho, which was interesting to watch. Found another note on the assassin from the dark brotherhood detailing how "someone" wanted me dead.

3. Giants suck. One hit and you get to experience a birds-eye view of Skyrim... well a corpse-birds-eye view...

4. Encountered 3 dragons so far, 1 from storyline and 2 in the wild. I killed the storyline dragon with ease and one of them by arrows and a lot of restoration spells... The third flew away...

5. Found the werewolf guys and am currently trying to get them to "bite" me...

i havent had random assassination attempts yet... and giants do suck. i've killed 3 dragons too. you can find them outside town gates sometimes.

and i think that you could just join the Dark Brotherhood to become a werewolf. there's a werewolf and a 10/310-year old vampire girl in it.

I believe you have to drink the blood of a Skyrim Werewolf to become a Werewolf in it.
That's what I've heard at least.

But yeah, OT.
I had a random Assassin once. He stopped fighting at around 10% health, begged me to stop and listen to him. Problem was I was casting a spell, so he was incinerated before he could speak. Oops.

Had to Whirlwind myself away from a Giant after I foolishly thought level 6 me with a stolen Elven Bow could take him.

Found Werewolves hiding in the Companions, doing quests and hoping I impress them enough for them to let me join. (Haven't seen them turn, but the Dialogue I hear from eavesdropping makes it obvious what they are. GOD DAMMIT SKyRIM I LOVE yOU FOR THIS SORT OF THING.)

No Thugs, but I've acted as one as part of Companion quests.

Only one dragon dead so far, but the Graybeards shared their Dragon Shout powers with me. Such nice old men. =)

Turned into a werewolf and went on a killing spree in Whiterun(Windrun? Can't remember. 4 mauled and naked bodies are still lying in plain sight in the center of the town.

Shot a mammoth with an arrow and watched it slide along the ground at 30meters per second and suddenly disappear.

Had an arrow stuck 3 inches in the air from my body. It stayed until I was hit by another arrow 30 minutes later.

An argonian assassin jumped me while I was picking flowers in the forest. But a pack of wolves and a huge damn bear came out of nowhere and started to maul him. Not wanting to spoil their party I leapt from a cliff into a river and swam to safety. I can still hear his screaming... Poor argonian :(

1. Had that happen to me, although that was because I did steal stuff. I stole the Ignots from the smith in Riverwood(?). The smithy sent thugs, and he was right there, watching me kill them. I go to talk to him, no reaction. Made me chuckle...

Then I killed his wife in front of him and his child ^_^

2. Never had that, but that sounds pretty cool.

3. Beth did say that it's not leveled based, so things like giants will always be strong. Just ignore them, if you don't attack them they're fine.

4. 3 for me too, although I think only 1 of them might have been random. I don't know, they all feel a little scripted. Possibly just me though. Did see one flying around burning the ground. It was awesome. I couldn't get at it though.

5. My guess is, get good with the companions and you'll get the gift. Possibly, don't hold me to that.

You can kill children in this game?

Well, I visited Falkreath, and moments after entering it, the village was attacked by a dragon. It died pretty fast, what with 20 or so people attacking it including guards, but one NPC died and didn't respawn... people didn't bother to remove her corpse, but dragon's skeleton did disappear.

Also a known bug, you don't gain dragon souls from dragons that respawn through bounties :/ Kinda shame, but you still get a fun fight plus bones.

As far as I know, I don't think so. Pretty much follows the same rules as Fallout 3. Children are there, you can hit them for sure, which gets you in trouble, but no deaths.

Shame, they're so annoying sometimes XD

If you have it on PC (which I don't, I'm 360-ing) then there will probably be a mod to add that in later.

I think this video is directly related to this topic: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HIF86TxGj1Y
My friend did it.

OT:Nothing too bad yet, although I did find a way to get giants stuck up against scenery and shock them to death while they're running at me.

You can just join the companions to become a werewolf.

Also, anyone else having trouble with a memory leak when going from one area to another?

I heard so much about the relationship/marriage thing, but haven't seen a clue as to how it works yet.

As far as I know you build a relationship with an NPC, then to abide with Tradition, you get a Necklace from someone and wear it, signalling that you want to marry them.

I actually spend almost half a mana bar (I was agitated...) setting a brat in Whiterun on fire. No one seemed to care about it.

You need the Amulet of Mara for marriages.

I haven't encountered any random dragons yet. I don't think I'm far enough in the story. In any case, the giant thing is a glitch, but apparently it stops when you're strong enough to stand a blow from their clubs. As for the werewolf thing, just join the companions and do the first few quests.

I also found the breathe fire shout, which is awesome. Haven't used it on a dragon yet tho but its pretty effective when you're mobbed by enemies. Saved my ass 2 or 3 times so far.
All in all this game is pretty cool, and I like the idea that your actions can come back to haunt you. I think I screwed up tho at the start. I wanted to side with the Stormcloaks but ended up with the Imperials, I wonder if there's a way to join the Stormcloaks instead of the Imperials anyway... I haven't officially joined the Imps yet so...

It's been confirmed that you cannot contract lycanthropy in Skyrim. Vampire aids(can't remember what they call it lol) is still available though. Expect werewolves in DLC. :D
You can still be a werewolf. There is footage out and it is on the wiki. But I won't say how. Spoilers for a questline and all that.

Haven't seen any cos the damned post didn't come today but its good to know there are some interesting random encounters to be found. Assassin ones sound particularly intriguing.
