2) Skyrim didn't randomly crash half the fucking time.
Please tell me that's just PC D:
I played 12 hours straight yesterday on the 360 with no issues aside from Giants flinging me into the sky.
That's how they work. They're giants. Uberstrong.
Sounds like a fun way to die. I've gotten close to one giant so far, and he just stomped on me.

Weirdest experience I've had so far: I've started two separate characters and taken them in as wildly different directions as possible - and in both scenarios, one of the very first NPCs I encountered turned out to be that walking easter-egg, M'aiq the Liar. What are the odds?

Oh, and I'm having some trouble hunting down that serial killer in Windhelm. I'm instructed to examine the scene (nothing happens no matter how long I stare at the bloodstain), and to enlist the help of the leader of the guards (who doesn't seem to have the requisite dialogue option). OK, it's still early, there's one patch so far, so there's bound to be a broken quest or seventeen, but I welcome any advice on the matter.
Follow the blood stains till you get an update, they are like blotches like someone kept dropping the body.

Fucking this. Sometimes I get lucky and manage to play for a few hours without a crash. Right now with my current save, I load it and walk a few steps then an instant crash to desktop. Bethesda need to hurry up with a patch because at the moment the game is nearly unplayable. Which is a damn shame because I am making some damn fine progress.

I also found the breathe fire shout, which is awesome. Haven't used it on a dragon yet tho but its pretty effective when you're mobbed by enemies. Saved my ass 2 or 3 times so far.
All in all this game is pretty cool, and I like the idea that your actions can come back to haunt you. I think I screwed up tho at the start. I wanted to side with the Stormcloaks but ended up with the Imperials, I wonder if there's a way to join the Stormcloaks instead of the Imperials anyway... I haven't officially joined the Imps yet so...
just go to windhelm, as far as i can tell you can still join the storm cloaks if you didn't side with them at the start. i also found a shout called marked for death, i've not unlocked it yet but it sounds awesome.

1 thing:
control panel > sound > select your speakers, then 'properties' > advanced

and set to: 24 bits, 44100 Hz

save and exit

By the looks of it. Possibly a sound card/graphics card issue according to le steams.
Owh I know the fix for this

1. Go to your control panel

2. Press on sound.

3. Find your speaker and right click it and choose properties.

4. Go to advanced and choose 24bit, 44100 Hz (studio quality).
5. press use
6. play
If that don't work you're fucked :D

Ran into a dragon. Drew my bow and prepared for an epic battle to end all battles. Only to have it fly off and pick a fight with some mudcrabs.

The amusing thing is that the mudcrabs appeared to be winning.

That only fixes the Crash at main menu problem. I know about this because it was the only way to actually start the game.

All the other crashes have nothing to do with the sound. I have tried every option in the sound devices. And like I said, it is random. Sometimes I can play for hours, sometimes for a few seconds. Just have to wait for a fix.

Turned into a werewolf ,frightened my companion, killed her, killed some bandits, then got stuck cause I was too big for the mine, waited till I turned human again
Handed in my quest, got hit up by a courier who granted me my inheritance of my companions money

BEST FIELD TRIP EVER!

3. Giants suck. One hit and you get to experience a birds-eye view of Skyrim... well a corpse-birds-eye view...
Oh sir, I disagree so much. Watch from 28:00 onwards, and you will witness the wonderful existence of giants.

Had a squad of three assassins with their contract on them waiting for me at a thief gig.

Saw a character named "thief" who got jumped by every single civilian in town - had like 12 people kill him. Looted him, and he had stuff like silver candlesticks and the like on him.

PC; no crashes. The occasional weird shadows when talking to people though.

Oh I also apparently encountered cicero who is part of the dark brotherhood

But not in that aspect, I encountered him with a corpse in his broken cart.
Then I reported him to the authorities on account of being insane

Did everybody else see the Headless horseman?

I was just about to kill a imperial group transporting one of those rebels. Then out of the blue, the Headless horseman comes strolling by ruining my conversation with the imperials.

My first instinct was to kill it but who would have guessed. The headless horseman doesn't give a flying hoot about being hit by weapons. Then he galloped off into the night.

I was actually able to kill a giant before I even talked to the Jarl at Whiterun.

I guess I'm just good at kiting.

Oh, I found a group of High Elf mages from some cult. The leader was a douchebag to me, and he asked me if I worshipped Talos. My character is a moralistic Nord, so I said I did. The leader got mad, then they kicked my ass with lightning spells.

Good times...

That's not a glitch; that's just what happens when giants hit you.

Helped a girl get out of a cave only to have her get stuck inside the cave entrance so whenever I try to talk to her to complete the quest I leave the cave. So I can't finish it -_-.

Was it a bugged character? Or a legitimate headless horseman?

OT: Yay, first escapist post!
