[Best news I've heard all week! However, the cynic in my must ask... source?
[a href="http://uk.pc.ign.com/articles/115/1158651p1.html"]Here[/a]. Interview with Todd Howard. About halfway down the page is where he mentions it. He doesn't go into a lot of detail, but he refers to it as a mix of Oblivion's and Morrowind's systems.

I predict a Hot Coffee type mod. Not sure if the other ones had one, but this one will. Why? Marriage. Interspecial marriage. Yeah.

Also, probably make their own horse armor before Bethesda charges a buttload for it.
They did. Well, Morrowind did, haven't really explored the Oblivion mods much yet.

OT: Mods I'm waiting for, revamp travel system, if there aren't alternatives to fast travel then I want some, and maybe remove level-scaling, though from the sounds of things it's not broken like Oblivion. Apparently there is at least one alternative, however I still want my mark/recall spell if they don't give it back.

There will also be the inevitable pile of stupid overpowered races such as angels, a few good races, a graphical overhaul sometime down the line, all the standard stuff.

I'm looking forward to the rebalance mods that get rid of the scaled leveling while adding in other cool features .. and the unofficial patches that will hopefully take care of the bugs leftover after Bethesda is done releasing patches.

Someone will make the tentacle bear people were seeing in the first screenshots.

That would be awesome.

In before naked ladies.

I think people will make various house mods. I might have a go myself to be honest. It looks kind of fun and I'm pretty good with that stuff.
I won't care about the house mods until someone creates an entire castle just to be used as a house.

So, if you are a modder of repute you can apply to Beth to receive an advance copy (tied to iron-clad NDA) of the construction kit to begin modding for Skyrim before it even launches. Moders like Slof and Robert likely already have them, if they are interested.

As a result, and guessing by the community as a whole I'd say the first mods off the rank will be:

A variety of nude mods to remove force-welded undergarments and allow characters to strip down naked etc.
Along with this, body and skin optimisation and improvement for the base races, to make them prettier than Vanilla.

Clothing and armour mods using remodelled and reworked game resources, followed swiftly by original armours and clothings.

Next out will be a slew of housing mods, likely neck and neck with a variety of companion mods.

For each of these categories, there will be a brief dominence battle before one main method (or a few) takes a lead. In oblivion, most companion mods ended up using the CMpartners code, for example.

A huge splattering of race mods, from the smooth and delicate, to the recoloured-naked-elf-babe, to the grosely ill-fitting and/or overpowered, will also begi to show up inthe first few weeks, but will grow at a steady rate throught the game's lifespan.

Several custom races will become dominantely popular, and a vast array of re-works, options and clothing and armour customisations for them, built off or using said race mods as a base, will arrive.

After the inital explosion of character- and personal-centric creation and modification, we'll begin to see the world-redux mods, to transform the assest ofthe whole game one way or another, from as simpl ea thing as re-optimisin g and prettying up thigns, better environmentals, better-x -y -z, through to Skyrim-as-a-victorian-neo-classic-steam-tech world type mods.

About this time we'll also begin to see the RP related and immersion mods coming intot heir own in greater force: the realsitic living, and realistic world type mods, such as the needing sleep, needing food sort of variants.

....

Personally, however... I'm really hoping someone is working ont he next generation of Mog-mod or other moogle-race mod, since that's the character I want to play, heheh....

I will probably mostly be playing the game vanilla to begin with. However the mods I usually can't wait to grab are UI mods.

Yeah those are always good. But it is good to experience the game vanilla as you said. :)

we've all said it, but it must be said again.
Porn Mods, LOTS of porn mods, but of course also cool endgame items and amours that look really cool. and hey maybe the mods will give me a reason to play a male character on the pc for once.
