So apparently there are some major issues with frame rate that occur on the ps3 version of Skyrim once you reach the 25-30 hour mark. I don't know how this could have slipped through testing (maybe it didn't and they released it anyway?)but hopefully this is patched soon. You PS3 guys deserve to enjoy this game as much as I do on my 360.

Anyway, your thoughts on this?
Have any PS3 Escapists experienced this yet?

I'm 33 hours in and this happened once or twice, not as bad as in the video though.

YES! I suddenly feel very vindicated in not buying Skyrim immediately, despite the cries of protest from my inner gamer.

Yep, I've experienced it. Helps if you leave any major city and turn off the game for a while though.

I've run into it. I've come to dread rain and snow. The drop makes Blighttown look smooth as butter in comparison.

Happened to me a couple times on the 360. One of them was fucking ridiculous though. It might have been my fault though cause I kinda did do something to stretch the limits of the games AI amount. You see I beat the Main story and dark brotherhood before anything else, then decided to join the stormcloaks. During an attack on a Fort I decided to summon the spirit you get from the Dark brotherhood campaign as well as using the shout dragoncall to have a dragon come help us clear the imperials out. I guess there were too many AIs going on at once (Like 15 Human AIs, 7 of them enemies and 8 of them Allies, and a Player-friendly dragon AI) and the Xbox was freezing every 3 seconds to process what the fuck was going on.

So I don't blaim the game so much as Myself for causing the derp.

Ive never had it. Im 60+ hours in, and i havent encountered a single bug. (Well there was this troll that just poofed into thin air....)

THe only problem ive had is loading the saved game screen. Takes me 5-10 seconds each time i wanna save.
But i chalk that up to me being on almost save 350..... >.>; i need to go back and clear some of them out....

I bought it for the PC so I obviously can't speak as a console player, but I'm more that 60 hours in and haven't encountered anything like this and I run on max settings. In fact, the only glitch I've encountered is one that I find kinda humorous in that it makes my head invisible. Anyway, sorry to the console gamers, but I'm gonna go back to my Khajiit and punch a few dragons now.

Happens to me if I play the game in long periods of time. Even worse if you have a companion. Apparently just switch off the game and let the PS3 rest. Still a load of bullshit to have to do so. Maybe it's their way of getting people to take breaks and go out the house?

You wanna know how or why this got through QA?
1) It's not nearly as widespread as some people will claim. The game sold 4M copies, let's assume almost a million were on PS3, so if it's only occuring for 10% of those users, how likely do you think it would be for the 5-10 PS3 testers to come across it? Assuming they aren't using the same systems.
2) They aren't sure what's causing it yet, as there is no logic other than play time, and not even consistantly. Bugs are discovered when they can be manifested in a fairly consistant manner.
3) You can whine all you want, but this is the least buggy release out of Bethesda ever, and nobody seems to want to admit that. Sure, there are still a few goofy bugs that make for good Youtube videos, and the "bug" of the 360 textures. (which is not a bug by the game being TOO well optimized that the 360 can't handle it) Now there is this, and estimates put it at no more than 10% of PS3 users are seeing it right now.

Playing on PC and have no issues like that.

62 hours of playtime on max settings and my framerate has been perfect.

Wait before you start with the "PC elitism" I haven't finished.

My son plays on the 360 and one of my daughters on the PS3. My son has said the game gets "jumpy" at times and my daughter has the issue in the video.

What makes me giggle is the fact they developed for console (360 I believe was the lead platform for it) and yet the PC version is more stable.

Again, not PC elitism just pointing out a bit of irony. The past games like Oblivion and Fallout 3 have been complete nightmares on the PC, so much so that us modders released our own bloody patches to try and compensate for Bathesda's lack of speed on some issues. I was expecting the same here but so far have been pleasantly surprised.
