First of all, is it meant to be more action-oriented like Oblivion, or focus more on the RPG aspect like Morrowind did? Secondly, how is fast travel going to be implemented? Again, will it be like in Morrowind where you have to pay for it, or like in Oblivion where it's basically a teleport button (something I never much liked) Finally, is it going to have level scaling? (something else I don't care much for).

Thanks in advance?

1. Both. Action and RPG. Skill trees have been implemented into every skill. It's kind of like perks in Fallout 3.

2. The fast travel will be payed for, like in morrowind. Not sure about the price for each travel though.

3. Don't know about the level scaling. Someone help me out here.

Hope that helped.

From what I've read leveling is supposed to be like fallout where you gain experience and things gradually become harder while you level and certain enemies are still easy to kill.

In regards to level scaling: It'll be more like Fallout 3. There will be some lee-way with leveled creatures, but for the most part there will be some places you can't go without dying, and some places that you can come back to and just obliterate everything after leveling up a ton.

The level scaling is back but not as retarded as Oblivion's. I heard that most areas will have the monsters level with you but some places keep crappy enemies so you can go around later blowing them away with mega fireball death spells and whatnot.
Not sure how the levelling system works at all really but i doubt it'll be as broken as Oblivion's.

Thank goodness, because the scaling in Oblivion was dreadful. By the time you got to a high level bandits were wearing glass armour and you couldn't walk down a previously safe road without being mobbed by minotaurs. It just got stupid.

agreed, mainly since neither of those are at all realistic.

Out of curiosity, where did you hear that?

I'm more concerned about how loot scaling is going to work.
If I find an amazing weapon/armour set/magic ring, is it going to scale to the level my character is at? Or is it going to be fixed?

Another MASSIVE problem I had with Oblivion. Basically, if I find something that's awesome within the first few levels, it would suck later on, despite allegedly being a legendary super weapon (I'm looking at you Dawnfang)

Skyrim is pretty action oriented, what with the finishing moves and whatnot. That said, you do get to customize your character with perks, but there are also no classes. And all of your characters are likely to be somewhat similar due to the dragon shouts.

Fast travel works like Fallout almost exactly, but the difference is that you can pay for carriages to take you to big cities if you wish.

Level scaling applies to armor and weapons, so you're not going to be spotting daedric hammers at level two, but enemies are not scaled.
