RIP Sven, died by being near my frost/fire/lighting runes when I cast them.

RIP Sven again death by falling after being pushed off by a falmer.

I haven't even got Lyndia yet and I'm level 33. Just been running around doing side quests, hardly touched the main quest (About to go into the same mountain as the gold claw is in).

R.I.P Stray dog.

You randomly decided to follow me, but you activated a trap and got yourself squished against the ceiling. I then went and looted your corpse for anything, but you had nothing because you were just a stray dog.
that is the saddest story i have ever heard...
R.I.P. that horse i stole. you decided to wander off when i was in a fight, and got hit by a giant...

RIP Undead Chicken Thrall.
Eaten by a Dovah outside of Whiterun.

Your fearless zombie clucking will be missed.

RIP Lydia. In the heat of battle, I dragon-screamed you off a cliff with about 7 Stormcloaks.

R.i.p
Sir Gallopalot.
Though I can't craft a tombstone, it shall read: "Fact: Dragons prefer horsemeat over Me-meat"

And a little sidenote for the chicken I found.
R.i.p.
Mr. Cluckelsworth
You were a tasty companion.

Seriously, that meat was gooooood.
Edit: I hope that Lydia didn't die on her way back to Whiterun...
I mean... She -was- carrying my 30 dragonbones & scales & all my ingots and ores.

....

Oh f...

RIP the Shield Maiden. "Lucky"

Mauled by a bear, sent into orbit by a giant, nommed on re-entry by a dragon.

Rest in Piece.
It was all I could find of you.

Rip Lydia
I'm sorry I accidentally shot you in the face while I was fighting a lich. I had only just met you an hour earlier too...

Phil the first horse. He kicked a bear in the face repeatedly and saved my life once. The retarded AI for the bandits made them find Phil more of a threat than me, and so they chased him half a mile and beat him to death. Pissed me off, so I set them all on fire until they died.

Lydia was a beast. She'd taken on bears, wolves, vampires, and even simply stood right in a dragon's stream of fire and never gave a single fuck, just kept smacking it in the face with the axe I gave her. She got Roflstomped by not a group, not a pack, but a SWARM of cave bears and wolves. I don't even know where the hell they all came from, lagged my game like hell. She had something like three or four bears attacking her while I'm trying to burn the legion of wolves attacking my face.

Oh, and Sven as an honorable mention for being my temporary pack mule. Right up until the dragon that protcects the animal shout iced him to death on the spot. So much for that fucking plate mail protecting him.

R.I.P Every horse I've ever owned (about 30)

About five to ten KIA: Drops and arrows from enemies.
Woah, really? My horse seems nearly invincible. Suicidal, seeing as he gladly rushes at a dragon, but damn does he back it up by kicking so much ass.

Then you just ask them to trade and take the arrows back.

I got Farkhas as a companion, paid him for all Heavy Armor training he could give, then took all my money back from him :p

RIP: Lydia
-I found you dead on the ladder of my house in Whiterun.
Seriously? I mean I know in Fallout people would sometimes fall down stairs when you weren't looking but you'd think she'd be fine left in your house.

I have to say that I've always wondered why there are NPC theives at night who might break into your place sometimes. Then having a servent to defend the place would make sense, and you'd have to choose to bring her or leave her at home protecting stuff.

...you can take the money back from trainers? I spent a fortune on One-Armed training from Athis. If that is true, then I'm about to ask Athis to come on a little walk into a secluded area with me....

RIP Random Mercenary.
Shouted from the top of Monahven during a vicious fight with a dragon.

Found at the bottom, little more than a grease stain in steel armour.

R.I.P. First Whiterun Horse.
I gained ownership of you to speed up re-travelling roads. I took you from Whiterun to Dawnstar, Windhelm to Solitude and all the wilderness between. I've made you outrun Wolves and Sabres; you charge straight into every fight, hooves blazing, but it was not to last.
When that blood dragon dropped out of the sky on us; you're bravery in attacking a non-hostile Giant nearby will inspire other horses to live longer, less aggressive, lives...

Honestly, Horse, there was no need. He didn't die and once he'd finished ploughing you into the ground he helped me kill the Dragon then wondered off on his own. You mug.

I don't use companions.. they're the bane of a stealthy assassin character.

Lydia is sat in my house guarding my chest of stuff.

She seems determined to sit in my room and eat all my bread though. Sheesh woman, you have a room of your own you know!

... I bet she watches me sleep too. While chewing on bread.
She is sworn to serve her Thane in every way possible. She is your bodyguard and fucktoy... keep at home.
