I'm sick of seeing it everywhere. I wish Skyrim was never released so I didn't have to see it EVERYWHERE.
I used to worry about meme's, but then I took an arrow to the knee.

Patrolling the Mojave almost makes you wish for a mudcrab to the knee.

OT: People wanted something to make a meme out of since Oblivion was just so loaded with its disjointed lines and dialogue. This is something you heard a lot. It's just like "Patrolling the Mojave" which was actually my favourite one (except for mudcrabs.)

I'm much more of a fan of the Fus Ro Dah meme. Hearing that then seeing real people get thrown great distances? That shit is just priceless.

For your viewing pleasure:

Yeah, I don't think that one will get old for me.

Arrow in the knee, though? I view it less as a meme and more as a mass satirizing of Skyrim's terrible NPC dialogue. Because they could do it for more than just do it for more than just "arrow in the knee":
-"You mix potions, right? Can you brew me an ale?"

-"You and me, we're the only ones around here who aren't complete fools."

-"Hands to yourself, sneak-thief!"

-"So you can cast a few spells. Am I supposed to be impressed" (this one was said to me over and over even though at level 48 I had cast exactly one spell and none of my magic abilities were even at level 20).

ALso, TES guards tend to spawn memes...
"STOP RIGHT THERE CRIMINAL SCUM!"
or a better one from TES4

"MURDER! SOMEONE'S BEEN MURDERED!"

It's already managed to become more annoying than the cake is a lie. That's a fair accomplishment for a game that's been out for less than a month. I find it pretty annoying since it gets used way too much. It will disappear soon though, just remember that ceiling cat is watching you.

Iv been reporting everyone useing the ---But then i took an arrow in the knee. When they use it just to bulk up there post count and add absolutly nothing to a thread. Mainly because its low post content. Using meme's can be funny but this arrow in the knee one is just not that funny....

Now Fus Ro Dah that is funny when attched to a yuoutube video.

to be honest, aren't all meme's kinda stupid attempts to get a negative response out of people(troll)? And how is this any different?

I don't think Skyrim is that popular
These words. These words make no sense. The sense I seek in these words, it is nowhere to be seen.

Lets document my average trip to the internet these past few weeks: Go check facebook, and half my friends are talking about Skyrim. Go on reddit, at least 90% of the posts on the gaming subreddit are about skyrim. I come here, and every other thread is about Skyrim.

Skyrim also sold 3.5 million copies in 2 days. Outside of CoD it's the biggest game in the world right now.

I love memes. It's stupid comedy and very formulaïc, but it still cracks me up when I see another "arrow to the knee"-joke. The same with the "Walk into Mordor"-stuff. Or the Deus Ex HR motivationals. I guess I laugh very quick.
