ok so just ignore spelling mistakes my keyboad/computer does not work well with this site for some strange reason. i will try to proofread before posting.

so skyrim, i played a sword and broad warrior and did things that made sense to a warrior, like join the companions etc.

now i started again and was planning on being all sneaky and theify but im not enjoying it, the sneaking and theifing parts are fine but if i ever have to kill something or clear a dungeon i get owned. like im on a theif guild quest that involves poisoning rats in a dungeon, basically i can one shot these with the sneak bonus or kill then one on one but more often than not there are 3-8 of these skeevers.

basically how do i clear a dungeon as a ligh armour wearing sneaky archer dual wielder theif assassin?

I'm around level 34 with max sneak and all the bonuses in sneak and one handed.
I've never really had a problem killing anything, when you're high up in sneak you can pretty much slice the throats of guys who are talking to each other and the other guy will be like omg wtf happened?! and then you just roll behind him and slit his throat too.

Maybe if you're low on sneak use the bow for ambush attack from afar, especially if you wall hug pop out, shoot and hide behind a wall again, you can eventually go back into stealth if you aren't fully detected.

My main is a Thief and everytime I try and make a new class I always end up coming back to them. My advice is get into poison and potion brewing early on. Also, join the Dark Brotherhood early if you plan to join them. You can get some armor and a hood that greatly increases your sneaking. Also, smithing and enchanting good things to learn, Light Armor? Not as much. The goal should be to hit HARD and avoid damage, don't focus on being able to take a lot, that's why alchemy is a Thief skill now as opposed to a Mage skill, because it allows you to heal damage, buff defense, buff Bow/Dagger damage as well as add poison effects on top of that and most importantly, it allows you to turn invisible on a whim.

Also for shouts? ALWAYS get Throw voice, it will make singling out foes 90 times easier at low levels, before you can just kill people infront of their friends without them seeing ^^'

My Dual Wield Assassin was my most overpowered character. Dual Wield power attacks are silly good. For extra carnage use the Elemental Fury Shout which basically turns you into a lawnmower. At lower levels, stick to archery. Shoot someone, back away so they don't find you, repeat a few times, then go to town on then with swords. For extra carnage, level Smithing for the quite frankly overpowered weapon upgrades and/or level Enchanting for the brainshatteringly strong Damage enchants.

And if Skeevers are killing you, then you are doing something VERY VERY VERY wrong...

never had a problem killing anyone on my dual wield assasin...

Okay scratch that, around lvl 20 something I was starting to have problems because my gear didn't match up to my level. I decided to go "screw it", grinded to 100 smithing and enchanting, decked in legendary dragon armour and some half decent enchants. Turned the difficulty up to master and it's still easier than before I started grinding on normal difficulty.

My only recommendation though is to make sure you have good items. If you are playing a dagger character, make sure to get the assasin's blade perk, and the shrouded gloves from the dark brotherhood (if you are up for it) so you can do 30x damage with sneak attacks. And also, make some invisibility potions, and decent poisons (slow, paralysis, damage health for example).

For the hard sneak attacks you can either chug an invisibility potion or use your bow. It's easier to focus on one or another though. Archery being the easier one as you don't need to sneak up to someone, and it's good for the dragons too.

Poisons are your best friends at lower levels. Get a nice stock of Nirnroots, Deathbells, Nightshade, Imp Stools and Skeever Tails and just make a fuck load of poisons. Also if you can get an enchanted bow it helps a lot.
