There are worse things they could inherit from Fable 3. The old "black and white" morality system, a segmented "open world" or a anti-climatic final boss fight.

Regardless, it's likely something I may try, should I feel like it. As long as we can live without it in the game, I'm okay with it.

I don't really see a problem with new features being added.

In fact, I've liked nearly everything I've heard about Skyrim so far. I'm very excited for it.

However, the major, MAJOR exception is the further reduction of armour slots; merging armour and greaves? What were they thinking? What if I want to have a topless Nord barbarian run around like Conan, but still have him wear trousers?
They're going the same way as with Fallout 3 huh... well, if they still have the extra, mostly unused slots (Body Addon 1-3) then modders will fix it. Unless you're planning to play on a console, that is. But who would want to do that?
Wasn't the merging of the cuirass and greaves done to reduce the amount that needs to be rendered and avoid clipping issues? being able to have more people on the screen and more types of armor is also a +1 for the game.

Plus, how good did your character look when he wasn't wearing chest and leggings of the same set?
Yeah, but they should put in a 'hide cuirass' option the same way you can hide your helmet in some games.
That would be cool, can't remember if Oblivion had a "hide helmer" option. But eh, mods will fix any minor issues though.
Will it be possible to mod the console versions as well? Pretty please?

Todd Howard said that he had been talking to Microsoft and Sony about bringing mods to consoles, but it might be a long-shot in terms of it actually happening.

I would recommend an impasse: have the Elder Scrolls community manager approve some of the best mods there is and have them available as downloads for the console versions. This way, it will allay the fears of Microsoft and Sony over whether the mods will change/circumvent any security measures and they can be sure that only mods that have been approved will get through.

I know this solution might not be perfect, but at least its better than having no mods at all and hey, with this console players would still get a great selection of mods (considering how many good ones are made every week).

Yeah, just like Fable. And the Sims. And any other video game that you can build relationships. I'm not sure why it's such a big deal. There was a lot of fan made content for Oblivion and Morrowind that did just that (not just sex). It looks like they actualy took a look at what fans wanted in their games and decided to add it in.

And the relationships aren't what made the Fable games lacking. COming froma big fan of the Fable franchise, I think their problems lurk more in gameplay issues rather than who you can charm.

Who knows, this might be a good addition. THough I am pissed that they are taking away more armor slots. Why would they do that? Do they like boring?

Bah. That feature's more trouble than it's worth. Should have focused their resources elsewhere.
On what exactly. You already have over 600 or so hours of gameplay and plenty of items, spells, and skills. Skyrim is and RPG as in ROLE PLAYING game not a linear hack n slash.
Anywhere else. Chances are the rest of the game could afford improvement.

And when the fuck did I imply in any way that it is supposed to be a linear Hack-n-slash?
OK, so what areas would you like them to improve on?

I don't know, I haven't played the bloody game.

Oh well, might as well use a system that will presumably do nothing but break immersion and spawn plenty of complaints.

It seems like it could be an interesting feature, it would be interesting befriending people and being able to quest to them - it always struck me as strange that one guy had an even chance of beating an entire group of bandits anyway. This is, of course, assuming their ai is good and they dont keep on getting in my way. So yeah, if it means I can have a group of people doing some questing, it sounds fun.

I'm not sure what I think on the whole marriage thing. It doesn't make much sense for an adventurer to have a house and a partner to me. I mean, you're an adventurer, you travel all over the place, never know when you'll die (thinking of this in game terms) so who would marry you? Having said that, I could see it working, but they'd have to do a good job on it to win me over.

So yeah. Curious about it, but like a lot of people have said, parts of it dont really mesh with TES for me.

Do you guys have a BETTER way of including this option?
It's not like there's nobody who wants to start relationships with some NPCs if it strikes their fancy.

I think tha would be perfect. It doesn't cost the console farmers any money, in fact, it's another reason to buy a console, and the customers willbe ecstatic too!

Win-win.

Win-win for all, as the reason why mods aren't allowed on consoles is because it might interfere with achievements (and as achievements have actual monetary value now, they won't let it happen) and maybe mess up system files (cracking, hacking, smacking or whatever).

When i 1st heard this i thought, oh that's kind of weird but all well, i probably won't use it, then something popped into my head.

Make a character, Buy a house, Seduce a lady, Marry lady, have lady move in, Kill lady, store body in back room, rinse, wash and repeat with different methods of killing :D

I like this idea, kind of. Taking random NPCs to follow you into a dungeon, getting them killed, and bringing more. It sounds really fun.

Not so much the marrying thing, because if they're anything like the Oblivion NPCs, they'll be really bland and have no feeling.

Owning the house sounds pretty good, too, as it's somewhere to put all my loot. Eh, I like these features. They don't hurt the game at all and give some more options to play with.

It amazes me, the uptight stubbornness of PC gamers... Oh and a modding feature has been aproved for Skyrim on consoles.
