Argonian mage in heavy armor just to see how badly I crash and burn on my first character.

Dark Elf, sword and destruction magic, with liberal doses of sneak and archery to boot. Was a little confused cos at the start by the lack of an actual skill selection moment. But i'm really digging the whole organic progression system. Only a few hours in and now i have to go to work while my housemate gets his grubby hands all over my skyrim, but what can you do.

I have no idea what I'll end up being. I'm deciding between a Dunmer, Imperial, Nord, or possibly Breton. And as far as skills go, I just don't know. I'm thinking one handed weapons with destruction, but I can't yet commit. I'll wait till I get the game, and just let it take me where it does.

Same character I always started off with since I first bought Oblivion, Breton Nightblade, specializing in light armor wielding a long blade in one hand, and casting destructive spells with the other (held a shield with the other in Oblivion, but the new hand system which I am absolutely adoring from what I have seen doesn't allow that anymore, which in my mind at least is a good thing), though I will likely carry a shield for those few dicey situation where I need a larger blocking area.

Dual wielding Imperial who looks like Wolverine. Except I have exams so I'm not playing it.

Human Destruction/Alteration/Restoration magick user. Staves and a one-handed sword, with a bow on spare for when I get bored.

Khajiit. Dual wielding axes XD It kind of happened, since I didn't find any good swords and got used to it. She's in the dark brotherhood.

I won't have the game for another six hours but...

I have really no idea.

I'm gonna have to evauate things pretty long and hard before I decide, and I'll probably just let myself go along and see what ends up happening. I have no idea what the game specific traits are so I'll just see what's fun. You really can't go in without those details expecting to know what's best. For race though...maybe Breton, Bosmer or Imperial? I'll probably try to lean towards a more stealth based character but I just don't know.

i feel your pain. 4 more hours til the midnight release. damn you daylights savings for making me wait an additional hour
Yeah! Screw you, Hudson! We did just fine without your DST!

Character one will be an Argonian stealth-mage, probably specializing in ice-magic if only to screw with the whole, 'Reptiles need heat' thing. As for weapons I'm thinking blades. I always prefer swords and, daggars to axes and, warhammers.

Wood elf with archery, dual daggers for back up and some magicks :3

I'm really loving it so far. It kind of feels a bit like Christmas when you were little getting to play this game...

Hope that doesn't sound too weird xD

I adore the new skill system I can finally make the character I've always wanted easily :3

So far? A stealthy nord thief-archer-destruction-mage-alchemist-light-armor-one-handed-blacksmith with a silver tongue, called Ravnur Skervisklettur. It basically means Raven Cuttingrock. Sounded funny.

On another note: How the hell do you pick things up in-game?

I'm torn.

I'll likely be a Breton either way, but:

Either Full Mage in light armor

Or Half-Mage\Half Sword-Shield in heavy armor.

Don't have the game yet but even if I did I don't have anything capable of running it here at college. My laptop cant run it and my xbox is at home. When I do get it I will roll an Argonian assassin, same as my first Oblivion character. Though this time it is mostly because Argonians look completley awesome in Skyrim.
