An unarmed skill would be great. It's a legitimate fighting style damnit!

Less Draugr would have been nice as well, or at least have them be more varied. Almost all of them just charged you with melee weapons except for scourges.
Agreed. Some could give their life-force to others, to heal or partially shield them, while not attacking you personally. Fighting several death lords was a challenge in Skyrim, but only because they all ran straight for you in a disorganised and mindless mob. Granted, their minds have decayed considerably over the years, but the higher ranked ones could employ tactics, like forming shield walls in tight corridors while the sorcerers - or acolytes - buffed them.

The disarm shout should not have been given to your enemies in Skyrim, I think. It is a pain in the backside that causes all combat to cease while you run around looking for a weapon that you have to pick up, equip and favourite again each time it leaves your hand. It adds tedium and annoyance to tense battles. Heaven forbid you lose it in some grassy field, cave pool or abyssal pit.

I want a bit more differentiation between species.

For example, the lore goes on about how fast Khajiit and Bosmer are supposed to be, yet the movement cycles are the same as anything else. Bosmer should be able to sprint and run completely silently, whilst Khajiit should be bulleting off the walls and between branches like Altair on crack. Then alter terrains to suit, Bosmer incur no movement penalty in thick brush, Dunmer/Argonians handle deserts better, Nords can navigate blizzards easily and so on.

Having greater difference between combat styles wouldn't hurt either, Nords being able to punch out bears whilst Argonians/Khajiit gain a biting stealth attack (for one hit kill: sneak up behind, clamp down on the neck and don't let go till it stops twitching!) for example.

Of course, being TES, players should be able to train any character to do anything, because an Altmer with a lethal bite would be hilarious, but starting stats and abilities could really do with being far more divergent.

Nothing, the game is perfectly fine in my opinion.

Okay, one thing, it's been about a year after the Civil War ended in my characters life, I'd like the rubble to go away from Whiterun please.

I believe the combat needs a complete overhaul. It's so basic it doesn't leave much room for strategy. And then as soon as that's fixed it would leave room for a lot of interesting things like some platforming and big boss fights.

I'd want a more in-depth combat system like many people have suggested as I mainly play in 3rd person anyway. Fighting with the current system in Skyrim just feels a little too clunky.

But what I'd want above all is realistic relationships between the PCC and NPCs. Skyrim relationships just seem so clinical and there isn't really much depth to them. I'd like a tonne of new dialogue and a relationship system with the important people in my Skyrim life. It would just serve to make the whole experience that much more immersive.

Console mod compatibility.
That solves the entire problem and I think the next elder scrolls game should have it.
I'm so tired of watching youtube videos of awesome mods for Skyrim on my laptop that barely runs Morrowind. So much envy.

But other than that, something that is hard to mod into the game is depth.
If Skyrim was a body of water, it would be 10 miles wide and an inch deep.
But as it is, I still really enjoy it so I'm happy.

I'd say get rid of dragons, at least after the main quest, because they're so god damn boring. I mean once you get past the initial awe of it being a dragon, you realize that it's just another enemy but with more health, and an annoying attack pattern that doesn't let you really hit it half the time. They also show up all the time once you finish the main quest.

The Civil War story was more interesting anything, potentially, but none of that build up about the Empire and the Dominion ever comes to anything.

A small thing I'd be happy with though, is just finish dual wielding by adding a second sheathe and appropriate draw animation.

I would have liked to see role-playing kept in. The free-for-all "be whatever you want" thing is all well and good, but every player character is just a bland, generic slate. Restrictions, benefits to being a particular class, stats, anything to differentiate characters.

And decent romances/marriage.

A flyswatter and several cans of raid!

I'm currently shelving Skyrim till the mods get more stable(hmmm... they might have by now.... I haven't played since last march). Random CTD's in the forest around Riften drove me nuts (it's probably a texture issue that's only located in that area but I'm not sure).

I got Morrowind and Oblivion during the Steam christmas sale so I'm interested to see how the series has evolved or devolved as some say since then*. I have to say in the short time I've played Morrowind (like 2 hours short) there is a gigantic amount of exposition and lore from the NPCs though dialogue that progresses the quest can lost in the list a bit. Makes me a little nostalgic for the time when reading npc dialogue text wasn't considered so immersion breaking. That being said, I imagine it would be strange to see a game that had some high fidelity 3d graphics that suddenly had to freeze for dialogue as the characters mimed their emotions to reflect the text. It feels more jarring as character models get more detailed..................

*forgets what the topic was*
*glances up*

...err.

Oh right... *cough*, I have Skyrim on the PC and the modding community has made quite a bit of added content(probably including models of flyswatters/raid canisters and other silly things) that a lot of I wanted new or more of like crafting new equipment was easy enough to get. I haven't played any of the other Elder Scrolls games before Skyrim until now so I don't know if I would want to add anything lore specific until I get more familiar with the previous games.

[sub][sub]*(I know there are previous ES games to Morrowind, I think they were Daggerfall and Arena but it's been a while since I watched the Bethesda ep of"All Your History Are Belong To Us" on it so I could be wrong, but I'm not too interested in those games)[/sub][/sub]

I'd probably make the combat system more Dark Souls like. Not as hard, but with the same system, because run up and just swing your sword until the guys fall down isn't the best. Heck, when I think about it, fighting in Minecraft was more tense than Skyrim.
I use the SkyRe or 'Skyrim Redone' mod to spice things up a bit. It comes in a series of modules you can pick from, to redesign the races, standing stones, combat system, perk system, enemy A.I., stealth system or any combination of the above. Bandits protect themselves properly with their shields and their leaders are a real force to be reckoned with. It also makes a lot of perks more worthwhile, nerfing some and buffing others while adding a whole lot more and redesigning some trees entirely.

Vanilla's Master difficulty is easier than SkyRe's Adept difficulty. If one word could describe the new approach to challenge, it is this:

I want the Destruction school give me the capability to actually destroy shit.

I want to be able to cremate my allies when they fall in battle.
I want to be able to freeze the corpses of my enemies so that they may stand and serve as a reminder to others.
I want to be able to burn down the house of a family that wronged me.
I want to be able to use Telekinesis to move someone's body.
I want to be able to take someone prisoner and execute them in front of a crowd.
I want to be able to toggle the killing of important NPCs instead of always having them go unconscious.
I want to be able to take someone's soul before they've died.

I want to be able to take armour and weapons and melt them down into their base metals instead of having them lie around.
I want to be able to kill my enemies by hitting them with weapons I'm currently holding with Telekinesis.
I want to be able to settle the civil war by taking control of Skyrim with my own army dedicated to the Dragonborn.
I want to be able to enter a city, slaughter the guard and everybody in the Jarl's keep before taking it for myself.

I want to feel the power behind my spells.
I want to feel the force of a frostbolt leave my hands.
I want to feel like I'm actually being taught magic in a college of magi.
I want to feel like my spells actually damage my enemy instead of just knocking them back and putting them to sleep.

I want the Chameleon spell back.
I want guards that aren't telepathic.

I want to have more then two animations for swinging a weapon.
I want characters to keep bleeding after I've stabbed them.
I want corpses to rot away instead of remaining where they fell for the rest of time.

Yeah it's long. Deal with it.

SPEARS!!!!!!!!!! Sorry, but ever since they took them out from oblivion I have wanted nothing more than spears, in Morrowind pole weapons were one of the only weapons I used. They're fun, they're common and dammit they should be there. ALSO

I want actual benefits to being the harbinger of the companions and/or the archmage.

Minotaurs need to be back

So does the arena, and possibly a bare knuckle fist fighting club

combat needs to be revamped so I can feel it.

Minotaurs need to be returned

Oh did I mention spears?

Bring back the levitate spell

bring back agility, strength and speed that way it actually feels like I'm growing and progressing as a character

Also before I forget, where are the fucking minotaurs, and ogres? Ogres were awesome as well.

I would like to also have the clothing options I had back in morrowind.

and retcon Dawnguard as well.

Also all this stuff

THAT! And bring back minotaurs and the Arena, give back those three things and all is forgiven. Seriously though, who the hell said no fucking minotaurs? I want to know... for um... reasons.
Minotaurs only exist in Cyrodiil because they are the children of Saint Alessia, the founder of The First Empire, and Morihaus, the bull god-hero who assisted Alessia and Pelinal in conquering the Alyeids.

It wouldn't make sense for the children of the mother of Cyrodiil to appear anywhere but in Cyrodiil.

So they can't migrate? They have legs, they can travel, they can be captured, and moved around (as seen in the Cyrodill arena) and Cyrodill isn't an island. It makes no sense. I know that it's a fantasy game, but come on do they disintegrate as soon as they reach the border, and what if the border changed, what if someone conquered all of Tamriel and expanded Cyrodill's borders, or Cyrodill ceased to be? It seems like looney tunes logic that over the course of a thousand years they wouldn't migrate or be transplanted.

One of my biggest desires for Skyrim is in the crafting department.
I want more style and design options for my weapons and armor. I remember when I first started smithing steel I was wowed by being able to make a boring chain style steel helmet or a horned one. But then I hit Dwemer and while the armor was awesome there was only one version.
The same version everyone else made and sold as well.
I just think that there should be more options in that department, every smith with skill would have their own little designs and flair you know? Have it so the Dragonborn has his own designs (maybe a couple) for weapon and armor and as he/she progresses in skill new designs are unlocked for the armors and weapons. And if you train under a smith you also unlock their designs or something. I think it'd just make then game more immerssive.

Other than that I'd like the usual, better combat (though I am OKAY with the combat as is), better marriage options, an economy, more stuff for npcs to do, better ai, more weapons and armors, more towns, etc.

Why would they migrate? Cyrodiil is the most bountiful land in all of Tamriel.

Also, the re-use of monsters isn't much appreciated, and a large portion of the ES lore people hated the minotaurs and the ogres, because they are too generic fantasy, which elder Scrolls is not.

I have nothing to say for the transported point but if they're more or less children of Cyrodiil then maybe they don't want to leave or the thought never crosses their mind?

Destruction magic improving in magnitude, not just efficiency would be nice.

Rebalance so that casting Expert/Master class spells MEANS something, rather than just spamming Impact + Firebolt.

Rideable dragons, that YOU control. What is the point of riding a dragon if the AI of the dragon takes over for movement?
Seriously. When my buddy told me they added dragon riding I was like "For real?!" But then he told me what they actually added and I got sad again :[

The biggest one for me though is quest variety. Literally every single quest is go into "x" dungeon for "y" reason and kill a bunch of druger. I would also really enjoy it if the main questline didn't make it impossible to be a full-stealth character and beat the game. You can't sneak up on a dragon that's in the air, and even if you have 100 sneak and a maxed out tree, they still see you when they land.
