To be able to literally impale my enemies with the full length of my sword through their gut, and get to watch in first person a close up view of the life leaving their helpless eyes. Then I get to step back and watch them slide off my blade and slump to the ground.

So pretty much I want the sword combat to be less repetitive, and not have enemies just suddenly die. Something along the lines of Fallout limb loss would be cool, or bleeding out/instant kills (via perfect stabs to the heart etc.)

Longer and more varied songs for the soundtrack.

Seriously, Bethesda has already proven they can do amazingly epic soundtracks (if they hire Jeremy Soule), but only a few dozen of songs repeating over and over again for my 100 hour play gets a bit tiresome.

Other than that, the game is looking hot.

Goddamn consistent voices for the characters. I hated when I was getting information from the beggars, as they had their scraggly voice, to suddenly change to the voice of one of the rich folk and back.

And I swear I heard an orc in an imperial guard voice once.

It's a damn action game so i'm not expecting any good rpg elements. But how about combat that's actually engaging and not boring ass shit ?
I fail to see the difference. I used be confused about what the difference between an RPG and Adventure game is, since the elements are almost always combined, and it's the same with action games.
Really though, an RPG just gives you a bunch of character customization options and lets you choose the story. Seeing as it's a sandbox with 18 skills, a main quest, tons of side quests, factions, and character influence over the economy, I would say it's quite an RPG.
Just because it has hack and slash elements doesn't mean it's not an RPG, or does nothing but turn-based count?

I agree about the combat though. I hope they go more along the line of Demon's Souls. Making you learn a strategy to effectively fight each monster. What are its weaknesses, how do I avoid getting damaged by it, how can I use the terrain to my advantage. Also the drastic weapon differences.
Not like Oblivion, where everything was just *mash attack key* and try not to get hit in return by its button mashing attacks.

Imperial Creed: Have Bethesda hired more than four voice actors this time?

Yes, thank goodness. ?It used to be an issue with disc space,? says Howard. ?On Oblivion we were literally running out of room on the disc for voice. We?ve since solved that. There are better compression techniques, so we?re not really limited by the physical media as much as how long it takes to record it.?

They?re spending more time and money on it this time around. The voice actors are better, there?s more of them, and they?re working with more voice directors in Hollywood this time around. In the presentation I saw, that showed in in your conversations.
We can only hope that they put the appropriate amount of time into it.
I personally didn't have much of an issue with it, but I'm used to reading text, so I just mash the "advance text" button and process it as it went along. I hardly even listened to the voices.

Party members, I like party members to keep me company. I honestly took the adoring fan everywhere for that reason. He's actually really good for torch holding.
I think you and I are the only ones who found a use for him. XD

OT: Yeah, basically what this person said. I think New Vegas might have spoiled me with good companions, but I don't see why I shouldn't explore the land with another person at my side.

All I want to be able to play an Argonian still!!! Might be a small wish but I loved mine, in Oblivion.

Oh, I also want dragon taming.

.... And a unicorn. I want a unicorn, again! ... Or a dragon that just kinda chills and after you slay it, or something, it'll let you ride it around! .... yeah, I know I'm asking for a bit much. >.> It's good to have dreams.

I would like to be able to pick up an object (just holding it )without having guards appear in my face.

I wanted to feel like I actually belonged there rather than feeling like you were 'outside society' in Morrowind and Oblivion. I think the romance thing will solve that a little.

I hope we get a system where you take damage in blizzards, but depending on the kind of clothing you wear (like fur), you take less damage.

Although it won't happen because it was developed by the Fallout: New Vegas devs and not Bethesda, I hope modders make a mod like "hardcore" mode. I want to have to bring food and water before I go traveling so I don't stave or dehydrate. I want to have to sleep because my character needs to, not because I want to regain health or level up.

I also (and this is a very far stretch, but still, I can dream, right?) want an actual, functioning Dark Brotherhood system. For instance: You kill someone in front of a relative and run away. Nothing happens, right? WRONG! The surviving relative summons the Dark Brotherhood and orders them to kill you. So, your wandering around, minding your own business, you go to a tavern, buy some stuff and then leave. Well, when you do, you are back-stabbed and killed by an assassin! Therefore, the only way to survive after killing someone is to keep on your toes at all times! Admit it, it would be cool!

On the whole unicorn thing: please don't make us kill one as part of a quest again. I couldn't do it and the armor was so nice when I looked it up, but c'mon! Some things I just cannot be asked to do, even in a game.

Yeah I felt horrible I was always told that it was one of the worst things to do. When it came to doing it in Oblivion I felt horrible lol. Human mind is a strange thing.

A hardcore mode would be fun especially if it was a little more challenging than it was in Fallout NV

I'd like to see a few elements from Fable, like customizing houses and having a variable impact on the game's economy. They already confirmed marriage as a viable option, so hopefully the conversation system and how character's begin to like you will actually improve. Lastly, an improved faction system would be welcome. A little optional micro-management in the guilds or the availability of joining, let's say, the Imperial Knights and actually stop crime would be welcome additions.

Don't be as bad as Oblivion;

*No psychic guards.
*More guilds to join.
*Have a faction system like Morrowind.
*A main story that doesn't suck.
*Just because this is a medieval fantasy game does not mean you have to have a "good vs evil" plot and characters.
*Some tough decisions in the main quest that have an affect on the story.
*More interaction with people instead of just asking about the city and rumours.
*More variety in dungeons like Morrowind.
*More variety in weapons like Morrowind.
*Get rid of the stupid levelling system from Oblivion.
*Companions that are interesting.
*Do not call the Fighters Guild, "The Companions", I'm sorry but that is the worst guild name I've ever heard (very low chance they will change this name)
*If you hire a well known actor to voice a character, don't kill them off during the tutorial.
*A fast travelling system like Morrowind.
*A more fantasy style setting like Morrowind or the Shivering Isles.
*No Oblivion gate style gameplay or features.
*If you want to have moral choices make them grey or don't have them at all.

I'm sure the environments, enemies, gameplay, etc will be cool, and any minor problems will be smoothed out by the awesome modding community that follows Bethseda's games. But I also want a good main storyline, an actual supporting cast of well-written characters (they should probably outsource those two elements to Obsidian), and more than four voice actors.

I've been playing Oblivion for 5 years, I don't recall any Unicorn. What quest are you on about?
Hircine demands that you bring him a Unicorn horn. In my case I stumbled on the thing and it chased me so I had to kill it eventually becuase it wouldn't get lost. :(
