Ok, so we know that you can become a vampire in the game if you wish but werewolves are yet to be confirmed. However if the link above is anything to go by it's more than probable that you can become a wolf too. What i want to know is, are vamps and wolves race specific? If i play as an argonian will the lizards be able to shift form or is that reserved for human races only? I've always played as humans in the other TES games so i dont really know if all races can transform? Do any of you guys know?

Honestly i doubt an Argonian could get ethier because there 100% immune to disease which sorta implys they cant catch it in the first place.

I might be wrong but i thought Argonians were immune to disease? if thats the case they wouldnt be able to contract vampirism/lycanthropy in the first place.

However in Oblivion i usually played as an Elf and i contracted vampirism, so no its not JUST humans, but that doesnt mean its every race either.

(note: i didnt actually read the article because i want everything to be as fresh as possible when i play)

It is true, Argonians are immune to disease, so they should also be immune to vampirism and lycantrophy. In Oblivion however, Resist Disease effects did not matter, and if that is the case for Skyrim, then they should be able to become vampires/werewolves.

Any race could become a werewolf or wereboar in Daggerfall, and any race could become a werewolf in Morrowind. I would imagine they'd keep it the same for Skyrim.

I was thinking that too but their starting stats are only +50% immunity to disease.

So argonians could become vamps in oblivion?

You could probably become an Argonian Werewolf or Vampire. It's not a standard disease, it's like an overwhelming parasite in the blood. I mean, for the game's sake, you can probably do that, regardless of the whole 'strict reptile statistics and roleplaying'.

Reason being, someone might not realize it when they roll an Argonian, then 56 hours in are faced with the reality that they can't be a werewolf or vampire.

Maybe not though, who knows.

I hope they did more with both in this entry, because vampires in Oblivion were a little... strange. Not much attention given to them. Werewolves were far more interesting in Morrowind (the Bloodmoon expansion), but then again it was part of the main story.

Clans for either, would be awesome. Better animations, and stricter, more immersive rulesets are welcome.
