Creative Assembly for retardedly bad AI they touted as being very good in most of their preview videos, which leads me to think what they called AI was nothing more than another human sitting off-screen.
Bungie for releasing a $60 expansion pack
Nintendo for naming their console after somethign you flush and forcing developers to add waggle controls of some sort while keeping them out of their biggest title (SSBB, the reason a lot of people bought a Wii).
Sega for failing at making Sonic decent, and for doing everything possbile to rip-off major Nintendo franchises (wolf Link, Mario Tennis, and Mario Kart as just the tip of the iceberg).

Bethesda for having us pay an extra $50 for Fallout 3 expansions, then releasing it all in a "Game of the Year" Edition. *SLAP*

Again, for giving those of us who bought the expansions one by one "special avatar clothing" for our trouble. *SLAP* *SLAP*

While I'm at it, Microsoft for Xbox Live avatars. Bad bandwagon riders, bad! *SLAP*

Online multiplayer, but no splitscreen *slap*
This jumped out at me, I just had to agree.
Yes it would make it a bit more difficult to have local co-op online with a mate in say COD, but it makes it worth it learning to put up with it so that you dont have to have 2 bloody consoles and two copies of the game.
I saw no reason why Forza couldn't have incoporated local online multiplayer with a splitscreen.

BioWare, for swapping the exploration of empty planets with the Mako with a scanning mini-game.

*slap*

No BioWare, that's not an improvement.

I'm sure that did you a lot of good. Hooray for unkillable characters.

Eh, there's a few things in Final Fantasy 13 that make me want to slap the developers, but it's more of a "why would you think that's a good idea" kind of slap rather than "you broke the game".

Andrew Hussie, for killing Diamonds Droog. Nooooo! *smack*

Related to games, you say? Um... I can't think of anything. However:

Ubisoft for all the repetitiveness in Assassins Creed. *slaps* Repetitiveness in games is a bad thing.
Thankfully there's none of that in AC2.

I actually thought "dollars" being used rather than just making up some random BS name was a rather refreshing change of pace.

Borderlands; exceptional game in just about every aspect, just one things gets me, dollars? Were on another freakin' world called Pandora! Can't the currency be called Pandorans or Chaosics?
Ironically, I found Borderlands to be the only game where it made sense to me. Throughout all the interviews, previews and press releases, Gearbox made it very clear that Borderlands was a game that focused on getting guns and shooting people. In an interview in one of the magazines I got just before it came out, Randy Pitchford admitted that the missions were there to give you an idea of where to go to kill things, and the storyline was a basic, ba excuse for shooting everything in sight.

With that in mind, using dollars instead of anything else actually fits the "we just haven't tried. Except on the guns. And the shooting people" mentality they were going for.

EDIT - Having just finished it again, I want to slap BioWare for the bit at the end of Mass Effect 1 with Shepherd... Actually, everything after you beat Saren is just so damn cheesy I just want to go out and slap a developer.

Another is Treyarch for existing.

Oh and Infinity Ward, stop catering for online arses who will do nothing but camp and use the grenade launcher all day.
Aren't you tired of seeing rupees, coins, gilda, munny, crystals, points, gold, and other weird currenies? It was funny the first time I noticed it was dollars.

Lucas arts for sucking ever since KOTOR II and for not making KOTOR 3 but instead helping Bioware (which is great but...) make a Kotor - the KO and making it into an MMORPG.

Are you kidding? I enjoyed scanning a LOT more. The Mako was just worthless, the pissy, frustrating, handles-like-crap thing. Finding my first anomaly was exciting!

Taking out the Mako was the best improvement in ME2, hands down.
I never shared the Mako hatred, actually. Maybe it handled better on the PC, and I played the PC version. I was a lot more bothered by the fact that every planet was void of anything interesting except a generic base every now and then.

I rather would've seen them keep the planet exploration with an, at least for the people who really hated it, upgraded Mako. I like open-world exploration in my RPG's, makes me feel a lot more free. Now it feels more linear, more rigid.

Given though, scanning planets while listening to the beautiful Galaxy Map music can be quite soothing. I like to do it after I went to the gym, to really wind down.

Note to Bethesda: do not make another Elder Scrolls game, you already fucked up with TESIV.
Note to Bethesda: If you don't make another Elder Scrolls game, I for one will be incredibly unhappy. Seriously, mods fix basically anything you don't like about the game. Fallout 3 on the other hand was the worst game I've played in a long while.
