I would do this only if it took away the NEED to sleep, but I still could.
I have insomnia, making it really hard for me to stay awake in classes the next day (usually only 1-2 hours of sleep if I get to bed early). However, I love sleep, if I had no other responsibilities and the ability to do so with no side effects or consequences, I would put myself into temporary comas just to dream for a while uninterrupted.
It's usually the best dreams that get jolted away by that damned alarm clock.
