It's Memorial Day in the US, so a lot of American Escapists who would normally be posting from work or school are probably out doing something else. Oh, and obviously the actual articles wouldn't come out today, as the contributors would likely have the day off as well.

You could spend time on youtube (or Facebook if you have it). I have spent most of the day on here and I must admit it has been a rather slow day, but as someone has stated, it's memorial day in the US and here in Britain it is a bank holiday so people might be outside doing other things as opposed to being indoors in front of their computer.

True but I would have thought Activision or Steam would at least have announced a sale for a limited edition Memorial Day collection of the Modern Warfare series.
