Barring that, I would love it if New Vegas or FO3 were like Skyrim, where the world doesn't pause just because you stop to talk to someone.

Make that the real ending, fade to black, and it would have been a masterpiece. Instead, the actual ending makes Kojima seems coward.
Actually, Kojima wanted that ending, but the rest of the development team complained so he felt pressured to change it.

[b/]Mass Effect[/b]

1.Relace Jacob with Kei Leng in ME2 (so no jacob)
2.while he remains neutral for the most part make it clear fundamentally he's still with cerberus and will part ways at the end
3. BAM charachtr made 50% less crappy in ME3
So long as he doesn't have that stupid fucking cyborg ninja suit I'd be all for that. Keep Jacob though. Jacob was alright.

OT:
Make Persona 4 have a faster start and for The Walking Dead game... fuck, I dunno.

Games:

Skyrim -Add more unique items that are actually better than the ones you can make yourself. You can still improve these unique items to make it "you own" but they won't be just another Dragonbone weapon. Before the Dawnguard DLC you could Chillrend was actually better than any other 1 handed sword because it had the highest base damage. Then Dragonbone weapons came and ended up having the same base damage.

Borderlands 2 -Have a slightly higher orange drop rate. Farming Doc Mercy 100 times and not getting the Infinity is a bit disheartening.

Windwaker -Nothing. That game is perfect. It's not quite my favourite though.

Mass Effect 3 -Seeing your war assets in action would have been nice.

Minecraft -Add some kind of flying machine that you can create. You could power it with the Ender Dragon Egg.

Fallout 3 -Add hardcore mode from New Vegas.

LoL -Give me the technology to punch trolls through my computer monitor.

Movies:

Lord of the Rings Trilogy -In the extended edition of Return of the King, remove the scene where the Witch King breaks Gandalf's staff. That was not in the book and Gandalf almost certainly would've destroyed the Witch King in a fight. Only Sauron (maybe Tom Bombadil too if they are in the Old Forest) has greater power than Gandalf the White.

The Shawshank Redemption -Nothing. This movie is perfect.

The Dark Knight -Make Maggie act better. She was better than Katie but still not great.

Borat -Put a warning label on the box that says: this movie may cause you physical pain from laughing too hard. That's what happened to me anyway... I know this humor isn't for everyone though.

Inception -I dunno if there's an explanation for this but there's a plot hole in the movie that I find kind of annoying. When the van falls, it becomes zero gravity in the level below. If the dreamer's aren't feeling the gravity in that level, shouldn't there not be any gravity in the hospital level either? I guess you could say that the effects of the previous level aren't felt as much the farther you go down but you'd think there'd be at least decreased gravity. I mean, Saito is still feeling the effects of being shot in the lower levels.

There Will Be Blood -Nothing. This movie is perfect.

Books

The Lord of the Rings -Maybe a bit more humor like in the Hobbit. Although I still like these books more than The Hobbit.

The Hobbit -Perfect.

A Storm of Swords -Come with a free box of tissues so I don't get tears on the pages.

The Hitchhiker's Trilogy -Make the ending less depressing.

Gears of War and Halo both suffer from having incredibly detailed back stories, that are never apparent in the game-play itself. They could both be improved with more story being implemented into the game-play rather than resorting to cut-scenes and books. Audio logs, more personal comms chatter, something that makes us care more about what's going on rather than just getting to the next objective marker.
I know what you mean. I keep hoping to see Kelly show up in one of the Halo games. With 343 in charge now, there appears to be hope. A lot of stuff from Halo 4 is drawing on the back story from the books. As for Gears, oh man. So much stuff set up in the books. So many theories. So many little threads. So much promise. And then Gears of War 3 comes out and shoots all the stuff in the head and pretends it was never there. Sad days.

Change the ending to Mass Effect 3 (because I saw that horse twitch so I had to hit it again). Wrote my own ending over 50 pages and now I just read that whenever I beat the game.

Add in a little side mission where you attempt to revive Aeris, but you can't. You get to talk to her in the Lifestream and she says she's fine, but she can't come back. Closure would have been nice with that issue.

Let me go to other places in Dragon Age II--thank you DLC for showing what the game should have been like.

And finally, a note on Star Wars: Bring. Mara. Jade. BACK. Seriously, she goes from being this angry but amazing fighter and character, and then she gets married and all she does is get sick and be pregnant. My friend and I were talking about that the other day. We both realized that her character seemed to fall into the cliche of, "Oh, she's married now. Better tone her down a lot." And then, when she finally starts showing her old talents in Sacrifice, THAT happens. Good-bye to one of the greatest Star Wars characters ever.

Minecraft I think, would be a lot funner if they made installing mods a lot easier. I'd love to play it with the planes mod or one of the guns mod, however, it seems at the moment that even when you follow all the instructions you still just end up getting a black screen. So if Notch found some way for making mods easier to integrate into the game, It'd definitely be a lot funner to build something badass like an airport or military base.

As for books and movies, the ones that are my favorite tend to be so because I like them just the way they are, though I reckon the third Matrix film could have done with its ending being made slightly more clearer.

Which is exactly why I think it was a cop out, coward move on Kojima's part to give in to the pressure. We are talking about the same development team that played it cool when Kojima made a Metal Gear Solid game without Snake, that never showed the real protagonist in the trailers, right?

My optimistic side wants to think it were the developers and people that cared about the characters that put the pressure. My cynic side thinks it was the fact that Metal Gear is the only property Konami has that consistently sell well (other than PES), and the executives (and Kojima himself) didn't want to anger the fans and kill the goose with the golden eggs. The fact that scene was used prominently in the marketing campaign as a "mayor turning point in the series" doesn't help...

Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood

Ed. Winry. Just kiss. I loved the series but when the grand conclusion of the salient romance is a hug and a picture of them with kids, I'm left with this feeling that there's unresolved sexual tension when it actually has been cleaned up. Just off screen were I can't get a feeling of resolution.
God, I know. That's why I hate most "Harem" romance series; they blue balls the viewer. Why can't we just have a non-romance series for once where the characters with some UST actually get, you know, resolution.

at least, we got the song "father and son" out of it. Which is really nice

OT:

Fire Emblem: Blazing Sword
-improve the narrative by either following up on or removing the tangents
-remove the plot holes
-make the main characters less bland and give them character development
-add a few more units to the roster, for most classes you only get 1 unit (but 5 fucking cavaliers/paladins)

Darker dungeons in Skyrim wouldn't go amiss; I miss the caves in Oblivion where you actually needed a torch or Nighteye to get around.
While that's cool and all, you would be messing with a lot of players play style. Archers, Dual wielders, Two handed, Shield users and, to a degree, spell casters would have a difficult time leveling their preffered skill. If they did it like Oblivion where the torch only stayed out in sheathed mode, it would still effect Archers as they would not be able to see whether the target has moved or not.

Cool idea, but would somewhat break flow of gameplay

Mass Effect 3: have the ending make some goddamned sense!

Also, Prototype 2 needs a bit of a story overhaul.

Dark Souls:
Fix the damn lagstabs. I'm tired of invaders warping behind me when they were 10 meters in front of me and killing my squishy sorcerer ass. It wouldn't be hard either- there's a ring that increases backstab damage. Why not make one that reduces the damage? Or make that wearing a shield on your back reduces it. Or both.

Other than that I love this game to no end.

Well, favorite game you say?

Final Fantasy X:
1. Change Tiduses outfit and hair to something a bit more... acceptable;
2. Make Kimahri more useful battle-wise;
3. Remove useless dialogue choices.
Oh, and make FFX-2 to dissapear from our memories and from this plane of existence and give it's relatively nice battle and leveling systems to other, better game(s).

Original Star Wars trilogy: I want everyone to stop treating C3P0 like a dumbass. He has the most human reactions to the majority situations of anyone in the cast. He gets scared, he gets excited...He's normal. But everyone acts like he's a weird, cowardly busybody.

King of Fighters: The super motions are arbitrarily difficult. I wish more fighters went with the Skullgirls/Marvel style of supers (which I, ironically, used to hate).

Skullgirls: MORE PEOPLE PLAYING ONLINE.

Resonance of Fate: More clothes (even as DLC packs), ability to change character names.

Star Ocean 4: Shoot the writers, bury them in an unmarked grave in a desert. Then hire competent writers.

I can't really think of any game that I'd call my out and out favorite, though. Those two are just ones that I really really like that I want fixed. I love games, but they're like books to me; I like them so much and I'm so interested that it's hard to pick anything I could call a favorite. The ones that I might say I love the most (SMT: Nocturne, for example), I love in addition to the flaws (except technical stuff like PS2 games being ugly).

Y'know, I've been thinking about this since I first read this post yesterday, and I think this is one hell of an idea. Initially i thought that you could replace Thane withj Kei Leng, considering how useless Thane is, but then i thought that it'd bring up the possibility for another one of those Paragon/Renegade 'impossible' decisions again, like the Jack/Miranda or Tali/Legion ones. Since they're both Assassins, but Kei Leng is the showboater and Thane is (supposedly) the cool quiet one.

Playing as pure Renegade in ME2 could also give you extra loyalty from Kei Leng - not to the degree where he abandons Cerberus Miranda style, but it could give him some character neuance in ME3, to the degree where he might feel bad about having to go up against Shepard, or even that he is only doing so because the Indoctrination is forcing him too.

It would also give extra resonance to the Leng/Thane fight in ME3, as in 'well lets see who is the best after all' kinda thing.

So congratulations Vault, in one simple post you have created a completely alternate Mass Effect experience, one that would be made of pure awesome. Shame I dont write fanfic...

and that dymanic with Thane is also really good
Well, anything that makes him... less shit in ME3 is a big plus, right?

Imagine the different outcome you could get in the game if you could turn him on Thessia too. If they linked in the Omega DLC as well, and certain decisions you made in that, imagine having Cerberus as a war asset too!

Maybe in ten years, when the next, next gen consoles roll around, and they actually have the processing power and memory to have wildly differing storylines like this, we might get a remake.

It's hardly my favorite but I've been following it for years now so - in Bleach, if the Fullbring arc took place after the Substitute Shinigami arc and before the Soul Society arc (you know, when he first loses his powers) it'd seem like much less of an ass pull (of course it wouldn't end with him getting his Shinigami powers back but fighting them only Fullbring ones).
