ok. I finaly got a router for my computer a while back and have been online a lot.
but while playing brawl every few matches there would be a player who took their sweet time , choosing their character. and when the fight started, they would just stand there.
i knew there was a person controling the character cuz they would doge my attacks and then run to the other side of the map and taunt. and on maps like the temple or 75m it gets annoying.
i just choose to ignore them, but when we choose our characters and the next stage, they just sit there and let there time run out. it already takes a little while to find a match, so it seams to me they cant fight and only do it to annoy people. (it works...)

so to any one else who plays brawl online, how often do you encounter these dud players?

( if any body wants to smash online just give me your wii number and ill add you to my wii list as a friend. ill put my wii number on here later.)

Could it be because Super Smach Brothers Brawl, aka SSBB, aka Nintendos crappiest cash cow to date, has such pointless and broken controls that they actually don't work?

Possibility.

Here to help, Don't mention it.

Anyway, people just like being general bothers online. I find it best not to question their methods.

Well, not sure why you think it's controls are broken. Seems perfectly fine to me, perhaps you should switch from the Wiimote (Yes, I'll keep calling it that). You seem to have nothing to add, so why did you?

Back to the topic, I've not encountered anyone like that, though I very rarely play online, mainly only if I'm at my friend's house.

From what I know, Brawl has awful online play.

The few matches I've played were unbearably laggy.

just out of curiosity, what is your reasoning behind this? I love SSBB and the series is one of my all time favorite games. I have some ideas on why some people might not appreciate it, but to simply dismiss it as a "cash cow" and exclaim it's control schme is broken seems odd to me.

PS~ I'm looking for a legit discussion, please don't say bull shit like, "Cuz I'm too l33t for sucha newbie game. lawl lawl lawl lawl lawl lawl..."
Oh dear, I've been called out. Guess I'll have to find a pair and man up to my statement.

I don't own a Wii, I will never own a Wii, I think Nintendo needs to be boycotted until they go backrupt and all their current employees from bottom to top have a chance to die out before we give Nintendo another try. However, while I will never own one, other people I know do have one, and they do play SSBB, and if I'm there, if I want to play anything, I have to play that as well. The controls are pointless. The battles all wind down to a simple button mashing dice fest of random imputs and luck. It's only after you've BSed for a while to knock down(Or rather up) everyones KO percentages that whoever owns the game comes out with that super awesome secret special button press that comes out to an I Win button, which would account for some skill if it wasn't the first person to get above 75% got by roulette of death gets bumped first.

SSBB is perhaps Nintendos worst game, on less than arguably their worst console, which is just a continuation of their lackluster progress since the Gameboy Pocket. Now, as someone suggested earlier, I'm out.

and it does require skill when you take the damn items off, sure some one can still get some lucky shots in put if you do have the skill all of there button mashing will not make a bit of difference. maybe you just lack said skill so hence you resort to said button mashing and just get beat by a better button masher! Sigh... no offense this is just one of my heated discussions with one of my friends, i have no ill hate for you or your kind oh haters of Wii.

ps. wasn't Mario is missing also made by Nintendo, i'm sure that game is considered alot worse

No offense taken, and my very first...well, not VERY first, but the first mainstream console I had was a NES, so I'm not a total nintendo hater. But watching them develop their company, they've trailed behind Sony and Microsoft and fell back on Mario to carry them, which lead to their utter stagnation. I would love to see Nintendo become a major player again, but I don't see that happening until they grow up and build something that can compete with the PS3 and 360.

while i do agree they have fallen off of there figurative horse, i say that they have not been trampled too deep into the mud of mediocrity to be considered down and out for the rest of the race. also if you review back to my previous post i have edited it to better describe you and your breathren.

Even without the lag, Brawl's online would be terrible. There's hardly any different match types. It would be nice to have 1 vs 1 matches, 8-man tournaments, etc.
