Ok so I just bleached my hair so I can dye it. While washing the excess bleach out of my hair I decided something; bleach is he worst thing I have ever smelled. I had to sit there, my head in the sink as I washed my hair smelling the bleach the entire time.

Question to make this a discussion: What's the worst thing you've ever smelled?

Worst thing I've smelled was probably the half-rotten corpse of a cow that washed up on a beach. Came back the next day, it was still there. It took Wildlife Canada 6 days to come clean it up.

Agreed. Burnt shit and tires in a big flat desert really doesn't make for a pleasant scent. Even after getting back, it takes quite awhile to get that smell out of clothing, nevermind equipment that's been packed up in connexes...

Let's see, the absolute worst smell that I can never stand is just bad halitosis. And the worst of it came from when I was cleaning out vials in a sink for physics research. Every time I flushed the vials with ethanol or propanol and then with distilled water, it produced this terrible warm smell that smelled like bad breath. Blech!

In day to day life, I'd probably go with uncleaned public bathrooms. There is one at a petrol station not far from here and I swear the place has never been cleaned. The toilet bowl is completely stained brown and old bits of feces are permanently stamped onto the bowl. I've only been in there once and threw up violent, but I hear it is still in the same condition.
