Why would she kill something like this?
Yeah shame isn't it? If the snake had lived to pass on it's mutated genes then we might have had a whole new evolutionary branch of one-legged snakes!
Yeah... sadly he lost his other leg fighting metal gear.

I wouldn't call this evolution per say, it's more like 'devolution' really. In the sense that this creature has become less suited to it's environment.
Maybe, but I think wall snakes could do well in an urban environment

Am I the only one that think that the snake is kind of like a pre-mature Deathclaw?

Do like Iron Maiden and RUN TO THE HILLS

The single most interesting thing about this article is that the leg was somewhat functional! Usually this sort of thing involves a completely vestigial extra limb, like frogs with a useless extra leg. The fact that it could hang upside down on the ceiling with this claw means that it could have actually be an advantage in certain environments. This could have genuinely been a precursor to a new species.

Bottom left kinda staring up at you but upside down. Just in case the foot thing wasn't creepy enough.

Hell atleast she was smart enough to preserve it and hand it over to medical science unlike those new zealanders burning the demonic half human-goat satan incarnate to appease the voodoo spirits or something.

But it's on its claws, so isn't it technically not on its belly?
