Snow in England -.-

Here in my little corner of the UK there is almost no snow, so ive got a pizza on the way, a bottle of jack daniels and im off to play counter strike because i dont feel like thinking too much.

I've been catching up on a few classic games, I'm currently running through Shadow of the Colossus, but I guess you can't play that if you're PlayStation is broken...
How about You pick up VVVVVV on steam if you haven't already, I've been kicking myself for skipping it, or Super Meat Boy was released yesterday.

Where I live the snow is 6-10 inches deep, but that's not to uncommon at this time of year.

In Middlesbrough their is at least 5-6 inches of snow, this is the most we have had for about 10 years? I only know that because i wasn't even in my teens the last time i saw proper snow around here. It's like we live in a bubble, only this year it popped.

Because of it, all the roads are in turmoil around here, hell a bus ended up horizontal across one of the busiest roads around here.

Can't blame them though, we knew snow was coming, but we thought it would be the regular slush shower.

The last time i remember having proper snow in Middlesbrough was when i was about 7. I hate that three or four inches we normally get that lasts about two days xD. And now when we finally get proper snow, i'm in manchester away from my friends. Its not fair.
And what road did the bus turn over on?

I never understood the thing with central Europe and not going to places due to snow.
We had (like almost the whole other world) a record last winter here. From December to March we had like 1 meter high snow walls between the roads and the pavements in the cities and close to minus 35 Celsius in January and if you didn't go to school you got some sort of punishment. So lucky me walking/biking 2.5 kilometers every morning at 7.30.

Its -22 Celsius degrees here, about 15 cm snow and its still snowing. Everything works like the usual, and never during my lifetime have the schools been closed because of the weather. Also, theres this really cold wind to top it all.

Get over it. I have 30cm of snow ON MY CAR ALONE and I still have to get to work. Honestly since I live in Poland and we usually get quite a bit of snow in the winter (currently snow and -15C*), thus we learned to not care about it. If it is there than it's just slightly hardened water. A vehicle weighing over a ton can easily drive over that. And if not? Well than I will at least have a few free days from work .

Well this sucks for me, I can't get to college because Im snowed in and live in the middle of nowhere. All my friends are out doing the usual stuff you do in the snow: Snowmen, Snowballs etc.

What do you guys have to do when you snow in. My Playstation is busted so Im gonna have to find something to occupy time.

All I've got is my laptop and the internet. Not even a TV.

It's my own fault, I chose this week to go away to a cottage in the middle of nowhere on a writing retreat...

A computer and internet is superior to any tv.

Acklam Road, in front of Whinnybanks shops, it didn't turn over, it just skidded and ended up horizontal over the road XD

Summer has been really warm here during the past couple of years, we have had +20 C, so no complaints there. Before this hot summer streak they were usually around +15 degrees.

Snow seems to be avoiding us, i'm in the Midlands and eveywhere else in the country has reports of 6 inch drifts and people stuck in cars on the motorways, yet we have barely a centimetre.

Still bloody cold though... Global Warming my arse.
