Somewhat old news, was announced awhile back. But I am really looking forward to it though. Should be interesting to see how everything plays out. Also the description answers where she will learn airbending from, was wondering how that would work considering Aang is dead and all and was the last.

I have to wonder you age if you consider that a childhood show and being waiting 3 years for a reboot of sorts a long time(Kind of irrelevant but probably just a bit passionately worded). I suppose it is good that it continues but in my opinion it was better that it ended before it got really stupid or to the point where it ran out of money and could not have a proper ending or decided not to have a proper ending(Shaman King, Zoids worst cliff hanger endings).

Just lol'd at the video comments on the trailer.

"Water, Earth, Fire, Air.

Long ago, the three books lived in harmony,

Then everything changed when M. Night Shyalaman attacked.

Only Michael Dante Dimartino, Master of all 3 books could stop him.

But when the world needed him most, he vanished.

Four Years have passed, and the Internet has revealed the new Avatar, a Waterbender named Korra.

Although her bending skills are great, she has a lot to learn before she's able to save anyone. But I believe Korra can save this show." -Jacob Lilly (yaccobb)

To be fair, it's not a reboot, it's really a sequel set 70 years after the first show. ;)

On Topic: It's not exactly news, but yeah, I'm excited as hell. Brike have yet to disappoint, and this series is looking to be just as good as the previous one, possibly even better. The animation is eye-candy, that's for sure.

I know but it just seems a bit rebooty because the other one ended and there has been some time elapse between this and original series and you know they are going to somehow bring in all the descendants of the older characters or the actual characters one way or another.

That made me laugh. XD

Also, TC, that trailer you have is sped up due to an error. The actual trailer plays a bit slower.

This is fairly old news. I'm still pumped for it even though it doesn't come out till next year.

Hell, you should see the shipping wars throughout Deviantart, multiple avatar forums, and the conventions where they preview this. People have already wrote entire storylines based around the decendents of characters from the show over the past four years.

The original was a wonderfully succesful show and left with juuuuuuust enough plot holes for people to take a hold of and demand a new series. When it didnt come out right away what did all the fanboys/girls do? They wrote theyre own. Some of the stuff I've read is actually really good. Others..... Not so much.

Isn't that what you'd call a sequel, or a spritual successor?

It would be more of a reboot if they had ignored the previous show and shanged the tone dramaticly in order to appeal to a larger audience. But this one seems very much in the same vein as the old series.

[sub](Also, TV Tropes calls it a sequel, and their word is law)[/sub]

I dont know if this would shatter your world or somethin' but Aang had kids. And some of those kids could be Airbenders.

I am aware of this, notice I said the description answers where she will learn airbending? The description says she learns it from Aang's kid.

I heard about this a while ago but this is the first footage I've seen of it. Looks AWESOME!!!! Can't wait! I totally loved the old show. But I'm a bit confused about the direction they're going with this new series. They left open a plot point right at the end of the last series which was quite obviously put there to set up a new series, involving my favourite character no less. But there's no mention of it since then. I really want to see that story. But hey, it's Avatar! I'll take it as it is!

Haha that's awesome! I haven't seen the movie and even though it's supposed to be crap I kind of want to see it. One of the few good things I've heard about it is that it's got really good special effects, which I would like to see.

I'm so happy.

Though they seem to be going for the more anime route. Not sure if that's a good thing.
