So I've been trying all last month to get into the beta with no avail. So anyone else manage to get in? If so, we're do you live so I can rob you?

How do you feel abou the game?
What are your specs, and your FPS? What are the Graphics Options
So far, do things seem balanced?

1. It feels great, sometimes it can get hard to get into a firefight and I don't know if they changed it again but when I played with my friend the map changed so much so quickly you got to an area and the fight was over already.

2. Dell XPS Studio, Win 7, with HD Radeon 5800 series, I can't say my exact FPS but around high 40's to 60. And the graphic options are pretty good.

3. Can't say yet, need to play more.

If you want in the beta badly enough, dropping $40.00 on the alpha squad pack grants you instant access and some other benefits as well.

As for the game, I like it, being in an outfit is the way to go though, trying to lone wolf it in the game can be pretty boring.

2. I've got a i5 3.1 Ghz processor, 8 GB ram, and a nvidia gts 250, and I've never really paid attention but I'd say the game sits between 30-60 fps depending on the size of the battle I'm in.

3. Can't really say, although it does feel like vehicles take an absurd amount of damage before finally exploding.

I played for about 8 hours total. I stopped playing like a month ago. Uninstalled it. There are so many things working against that game and it's gonna take so much work to polish that turd, that I have just written it off.

SoE in general, are failures. There was a time when they were like the 2nd biggest game publisher in the biz, back in their EQ-pre-WoW glory days. How the mighty have fallen. I don't trust Smed, I don't trust SoE, and I'm not going to be their cheerleader while they try to make a cohesive FPS game with their mixed bag of parts that don't quite fit together. That's what PS2 feels like last I checked.

Pass.

If I was younger and had free time I'd be more forgiving and willing to sit by the sidelines and wait for progress. I've said it many times before though; I'm 30, I have to be at work every day, I have a mortgage to pay. I don't have time to waste on games that are clearly losers. A lot of the original PS1 crowd is probably in a similar situation at this point in their lives.

I will say that if you guys missed PS1 in it's hay day; you missed a unique once-in-a-lifetime experienece similar to Ultima Online in the late 90's. It was unknown, unique, and entirely new. Playing the game was an adventure of it's own.

I've been in the beta for a month or so and the game's got me hooked. It's been occupying most of my down time. There are a lot of kinks in the system that need to be worked out before launch, but it's still the most fun I've had in a while. The Esamir patch is going live in a few hours and I can't wait. c;

As for my specs, I've been running the game on medium with no problems using a 3.1GHz Intel i5-2400, 8GB of RAM, and an HD Radeon 6850. The texture work isn't so great up close, but the lighting is beautiful. People with beefier setups are in for a real treat.

If you want to get into the beta, I'll give you a spare key. SOE is planning on giving all of its current beta testers an extra beta key within the next 24-48 hours, and I don't have anyone to share it with. I'll PM you once I get it, alright?

Oh really? Are they just going to email this second beta key out or not?

Anyway back on topic:
Game is really awesome (dropping into battle in a drop pod never gets old), although beta is beta; I've got some FPS issues at the moment and there isn't any oceanic servers which is a bit annoying as an Aussie. My only complaints so far is that weapon unlocks need to be atleast 50% faster imho, yeah I know cert point are easy to get and you can get upgrades that way but the upgrades are mainly passive enhancements. Also for being a persistent based MMO it feels like there really isn't much point in pushing back an enemy to their warp gate.
