If so what did you guys think? I thought the last few seconds were just amazing and It was a fitting end to the series.

Yes i saw it, while it wasn't what i wanted 100%!, i got the stuff that i wanted from it, and it's been a great 10 years! i can't believe i started watching this show when i was 11, and now I'm 21. It feels like it was just yesterday! the final moments of the finale were intense, and awesome. I only wished they showed us Tom wearing the suit up close, and show us how exactly he pushed away the planet. But oh well it's bittersweet! a good ending for a good show! farewell Smallville. You've filled my weekends. I feel empty now that Smallville is gone forever!, but truly good bye and thank you.

I was a little sad also! I think they way he ripped his shirt open and we saw the symbol was enough. Nice to see Lex back though.

The series ended? News to me.

Captcha: learep Half-Life.

Dash and all I shit you not.
It's news to me that it's still going.

OT: I stopped watching it ages ago and, when there was nothing else on, I watched one of the more recent episodes. Clark killed some time-travelling kryptonian chick in the barn and then say her again later on security camera footage from somewhere. I really don't want to find out anymore after I see something that retarded in a single episode.

I stopped watching the series back during the second season, but it didn't take me too long to catch on to what was going on (not really happy about how easy stomping down Darkseid was, though).

I liked the episode, and both the rational adult and the geeky comic nerd in me were happy that Clark Kent finally put on the damn suit...it was kind of an epic moment, I shed tears...manly, geeky tears...

1 year ago, I acquired all episodes and started watching. By season 4 I was getting kind of impatient. The show had not moved on from the little stock-episodes and one-off stories that it had and really want into something properly epic, I know DC can do it. They did it with Heroes.

I watched on and on and on, not giving up. But the show really didn't mature. Lame, lazy stories and a far too young and emo Clark Kent.

And about Darkseid, seriously? Just ram him and it's done?
The Justice League cartoon did that better. http://youtu.be/1zFsxSH8fUA
Smallville could have learned soooo much from that.

I'm glad it's over. I did not like the finale, why didn't we get to see him in uniform properly? Did it really look that bad? Just some blurry and covered and distant CGI, why not have the boy in the suit in the picture for a while????

I'm going to go watch Superman Returns, it was way better. Then I'm going to read Death Of Superman, the only Superman TPB's I have.

I enjoyed it. It is pretty funny but I lost interest in the show until they started publicizing the whole final season stuff (just as they planned).

Anyway back on topic: the only thing that disappointed me about the finale was the lack of a big fight with Darkseid. Yes, I know there was a fight but it wasn't on as grand a scale as I thought it should have been.

Also, I was really expecting Chloe to die. I didn't want her to die but I figured that her death was what they were going to do to push Clark to don the tights.

Also, also, I was disappointed by the lack of superheroes coming out of the woodwork to help him. I understand from a story perspective why they didn't do it (the episode is supposed to be about him rising to the challenge), but I would have liked if some people (other than his close friends) showed up for what they expected to be the end of their world.

tl;dr version: not the best finale ever but far from the worst.

That honor goes to Lost, my friend. NOTE: This is sarcasm.
The correct answer is the Season Finale to Blackadder Goes Forth.

OT. Didn't watch it. I've never liked Smallville very much, too dark and edgy for what I want with a Superman related work.

The ending of the series was when he finished High School for me since it was SUPPOSED to end there. Kind of like how Supernatural was supposed to end last season but they brought it back without their main writer.

It's finally over? About time. I liked this show the first three seasons, but boy george did it jump the shark after that. I tuned out completely from that show several years ago.

I think they were more focusing on the build up to the fight and the fact that he could fly now.. as well as the fact a planet was crashing down on earth.
