At first glimpse yes. The writing on the background puts a doubt on that. It could still be Bloodborne or another Souls-like, but on a oriental setting.Dreiko said:If you mean this:

Which brings me to my hope for a new Tenchu game. The phrase "shadows die twice" also seem ninja-esque, so I'm taking that as another hint.Diablo2000 said:At first glimpse yes. Ah, that just means you're playing it right. Nobody can have a non-strained relationship with Bloodborne if they're correctly playing. Bloodborne giveth and Bloodborne taketh away (my willpower).Silentpony said:Huh. I kinda hope its BloodBorne 2, but then again my and BloodBorne have a strained relationship...
Eh, I'm playing it right for me, but I'm pretty sure most fans would say I'm not having the 'true' Souls game experience. See I hate Boss grinding, especially if you lose progress, ie souls, with every death, and equipment and weapon degradation and most victories come down to luck or hope that the hit box didn't register.Silvanus said:Ah, that just means you're playing it right. Ludwig is... an utterly horrifying experience to fight. I do not envy anybody at that point in the game. If you've joined The League covenant, apparently you can summon additional help, though I didn't do that myself (because I wasn't aware!) so I can't attest to its usefulness.Silentpony said:Eh, I'm playing it right for me, but I'm pretty sure most fans would say I'm not having the 'true' Souls game experience. It was after 15+ attempts to fight the Blood Starved Beast that when I finally killed it I decided I was done with traditional boss fighting. I give boss fights 1 go by myself with my hammer and fire paper and what not, then if I fail, I summon as much support as I can. Other players, in-game hunters, whatever. We between 3 or 4 fighter we can curb stomp the bastard and I can finally get on with my game.
Besides exploring the levels and fighting the smaller monsters is way better than Boss grinding. I'm on the DLC now and I'm about to fight the weird horse monster paladin dude, and I'm really not looking forward to it.
Alot of the bosses I have managed to do on the first go, so yeah maybe Blood Starved beast is an outlier. I managed to do the Cleric Beast, the Shadows of Yhharhahr of whatever, the Witch, the werewolf lady, the Rom slug thing, and one of those weird giant spider alien things on my first goes, but I grant I've leveled my character way higher than the recommended level.Silvanus said:Ludwig is... an utterly horrifying experience to fight. The Blood-Starved Beast is a bit of a trial-by-fire, significantly harder than a lot of bosses that come after, though. I wouldn't say I experienced quite so much frustration again, at least not in the main areas of the main game.
I always loved the early levels of tenchu where you could assassinate everyone but once you had the floating heads and all that nonsense I never liked it as much. Absolutely loved the 2 player missions however.RJ 17 said:Dear god...for the love of all that's holy, please let it be a new Tenchu game. I love that series, and getting to play a new one with current-gen aesthetics would literally make me shit my pants with joy. :^)
