Kids don't think that deep. All they see is "rich man, BAD!" "business man BAD" "All business men care about is money!" I'm not sure, but I doubt they mention that said oil tycoon would have to own the building to tear it down. So, heres an idea, don't sell it?

Communism/socialism has been responsible for more deaths than the holocaust and WW1 and WW2 combined. Over 55,000,000 people alone have died in communist china, most due to starvation because of communism. And The soviet union wasn't much better. Oh, but that wasn't communisms fault, right? Improper application of the system, right?

Fine. If you get to say that, then I get to say that about capitalism. Because what we have now isn't capitalism, we have crony capitalism.

I was actually listening to a radio segment on a decidedly not-Fox-affiliated group and somebody pointed out that, not too long ago, the thought of our current government becoming Communist had a higher approval rating than Congress. And it bothered me.

Ok, ill prove you wrong. Name one story fox news lied about. Not difference of opinion. Not error in reporting. An intentional misrepresentation of the facts. Meaning, they knew the truth, but purposefully reported a falsehood.

And site an unbiased source that proves that they lied. I shall continue to wait for my challenge to be met.

There is the lying thing. They have a long history of lying, and most of that ended in a lawsuit that cost them a few bob. They would never stop in the street to help someone if they were communist for example. OT: Ummmm... Being a conservative, I dont think i have ever met a liberal who HATED the oil company for being big business........ Maybe enviromentalism, sure, but not because it puts gas in the tank and such.

we have plenty available alternatives to oil that with a little more funding could make oil completely obselete but it never comes around because capitalist oil companies do whatever they can in their power to ensure those projects dont get funded so they can keep making more and more money off of your car.

Haha, its all good. And you are pretty much re-affirming my point, to most liberals (except maybe a few crooked politicians) its more about environmentalism. This is a view I can totally get behind. Ive never understood how the conservative big wigs cant embrace this while sticking to a big business mentality, it isnt impossible for somebody to make a huge killing in green fuel and such. I mean why isnt anybody else saying "Hmmm, I could make cuss-load of cash by investing heavily in *insert alternative source here*, and it would help ease the whole energy situation. On top of that even the liberals could potentially get behind it (sort of).

Fox News only says what certain people want to hear. Some people want there to be a communist agenda attempting to brainwash their children. And Fox News are happy to provide. It's the will of the market. People pay for what they want to hear, not what they would need to hear.

Yeah, but since they're traditionally AMERICAN, Fox will defend them to the end against anything that seems even slightly critical of them.

I'm pretty sure it was the banks and the federal government that screwed the economy, not the corporations. Though I will allow the argument that banks are corporations too. But It's not like Apple and GE caused everything to crash.
