Great now republicans will want to see a long-form death certificate because there's no way he'd kill a fellow muslim

oh chill out already. The best news in years and already its turning into a political clusterfuck.

Obama said in his speech that he continued Bush's policies and expanded on them in order to pull this off and for once he made a great, neutral speech. Don't fuck this up for the rest of us.
If you take that beyond a joke, you're just bitter
Its a shit joke.
Your damn right im bitter.
If you're going to insult someone, use the correct words and punctuation.

Congratulations to the army guy that actually killed Bin Laden, for trading in some much needed justice for all the victims for some personal glory by now becoming "the guy that killed Bin Laden" instead of becoming the "guy that captured Bin Laden".
So thanks to him America can now parade around Bin Laden's corpse until it starts to smell, instead of taking him to trail and putting him in prison where he can be gangraped every single day for 40 years to come.

So in short, Great Job every one, and it won't actually change much...
The american government didn't want bin laden captured. If they captured him then alquieda would have taken hostages and done various things to have him released. Saying that the US has already said they are sure there will be retaliations for this... Though personally I feel they are covering their backs for whatever is going to happen next... see my previous post.

I'm not shedding any tears at his death, but it's still the death of a human being. I will never say it's justice to kill someone for killing another.

Captcha: resaff operated. Dammit Resaff, he betrayed us!
I really wish I could take that stance with you. I really really do. There's thousands of pieces of work about revenge killing but...I would've shot him myself. I would want him to BEG AT MY FEET strip him of all of his dignity, All his humanity. I did not pray for his death but i did hope for it.

I would've sacrificed my humanity for his head.
Thus is the price of patriotism. I'm guessing you live in the States, and let me tell you, most other countries DON'T share that feeling. It's revenge, pure and simple. I wish he'd been imprisoned for life instead.
No what? I mean he killed one of my family, I want to rob something precious from him as well.
An eye for an eye won't get anyone anywhere. I understand that you want "justice", but this isn't it.
I certainly feel better.
wake up tomorrow and call someone you love. Then when you don't get a respond all day call tomorrow. No response. Have this go on for 4 days then have and officer show up at your door and tell you that that person is dead. Funny at first you they left a message on the machine that you havn't deleted a week ago. There voice is right there how is this person dead.

If you did not go into irrational revenge over this person than you are a very very strong person. But not wanting revenge because all the good books tell you so? That's just being a *****.
Fuck reason
Fuck logic
Eye for an eye is how I do things it's completly fair. You and I are friends as long as you don't jack with me. Why is that so hard for people to understand. It coincides with the golden rule.

This guy sacrificed his humanity to kill so many people
I owe the same to get what is to me the same result
You might want to do things that way, but the law shouldn't. It can't run on the whims or desires of people- everybody, no matter their crimes, deserves fair trial.
I agree. The law is the only way to proceed if there is any order in the world. But my stance of eye for an eye also breaks off into I don't give a fuck about anything except me and my own. If someone else's family died I would take the law stance. But it happened to me. So I would if given the opportunity pulled the trigger.

It's hypocritical and weak willed sure. But I've been as close to an alpha as one can get. People can get the fuck behind me in line if I was here first. Stupid people can shut the fuck up when talking about me or my buds. And muggers can take my bullet in the kneecap. So if someone thinks they can take something so undeniably precious to me and hope for me to ignore it... God damn I would go back in time 8 years to get on Navy seal team 6 for this opportunity.

I do agree that the majority of the US military has been fine with muslims, despite that the media has only focused on the bad. I might have worded my post badly... what I was meaning was more that they buried him before there was a clear id of him besides their word, and that they buried him so the body can't be found... admittedly this has been given an expatiation already as well.
I will accept that I'm just being sceptical of the governments and this is probably all just conspiracy theories , I just feel the timing of this and some of the details seem a bit convenient. I do hope I'm wrong and that everything they are saying is actually true.

Just saying one or two things:

REPEAL THE PATRIOT ACT NOW!

Great, he's dead, so now we need our civil liberties back.
The Patriot Act never took away any of my civil liberties
Allowing the US Government to subpoena your records via a third party,
warrantless wiretapping, and overall spying on Americans is rather a serious breach of US govn. protocol

To which it was voted against [http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0211/49126.html] and seems less necessary now that the main reason for the Department of Homeland Security, the extra "precautions", such as TSA's groping of 6 yr olds [http://blog.tsa.gov/2011/04/screening-of-6-year-old-at-msy.html], now doesn't have to be done. There's plenty of problems with the Patriot Act and the very difficult position is to say that it upholds freedom when the war should be declared over.
