They said it's just as much game as 1 or 2. And the moon setting and combat look fresh enough.
My biggest question is if the lawbringer is Sheriff Lynchwood.
According to what I read, yes she is. All of the characters are from previous encounters and games. Which makes me wonder what will happen to Athena. She rage-quit the Crimson Lance pretty hard when she realized how dirty they were. And as well all know, Jack is much
much worse, so there's no way she keeps working for him, but she's also the only character who (unless I haven't reached that part in B2 yet) does not show up in Borderlands 2. So what happens to her at the end of this game? Does she die? Does she get fed up with Pandora and the corruption and just leaves the entire planet? I'm curious about that.
Otherwise, I have to say I'm not exactly jumping up and down with excitement. Prequels are really hard to do right in my book, because the tension is rarely there. You already know the fate of characters and how things turn out, so telling an engaging, gripping story is hard to do. And yes, I do play the Borderlands games for the story, not the loot. And the humor. Man do I love the humor.
Still, this should be fun. A new game my friends and I can play.
