He'll *sniff*

He'll always be my cap'n.

*Salutes*
We all have to be brave and go into this world without the Capn's Crunch.....It's going to be a hard journey
NO! I refuse to live in a world where a captain of crunch and all he stands for is taken and made to suffer for a humanity that so despises him!

HE WAS APART OF MY BALANCED BREAKFAST GODAMMIT!
GET A HOLD OF YOURSELF!!! He was a part of all our breakfastes!

No longer shall we enjoy the delicious peanut butter! No longer will we get to savor the sweet crunch berries. NO LONGER WILL WE EVER CRUNCH at our breakfast tables!!!

But I know one thing that still crunches. The hearts of millions whom the Cap'n touched through his cereal and by God he'd want us all to remain strong!!

*Hehehe mellow dramatic much?*
it brought a tear to my eye if that means anything

I never ate captain crunch but I am sad to see it go. Those health nazis are trying to take away everything that is not healthy for you which is wrong. You shouldn't want anything taken away just because it is not healthy for you. We should not have our options narrowed down even if we are harming ourselves because we live in a free country so we should atleast be able to eat what we wish. That Jeniffer Harris woman said it was good that this cereal will no long be marketed to children. It is not the cereals fault that you eat far to much of it. It is your and if you are a child, your parents fault. The parents shouldn't try to get rid of things because they are afraid to say no to their child and that is the problem with the current generation of parents. Most of them are afraid to say no to their child or punish them for things. It is wrong to try to take stuff away from other people just from a fear of discipline. Sorry for the rant, but I had to get that out of my system.

God damn them, Cap'n was a staple of mornings at my house. And it doesn't help that the Cap'n looks sad in that picture on the link as it is.

God damn it, this seems the most adequate response here.

Tis a noble cause indeed. Mutiny at dawn gentlemen!

OT: That is SO not cool! I grew up on that. Haven't had it in years, but still!

I foresee an era of Speak-Easy's where cereal is served discreetly at inflated prices. Also, I'm not that worried about the Cap't. If he's anything like Kirk, he'll just go back in time, save a pair of whales, siphon nuclear energy from his ship's namesake, then go back to the future to prevent his parents from fading away.

You... you're right... heh. Look at me, cryin' my eyes out like a some sad child who waited too long after pouring milk, and now has to suffer through bite ofter soggy bite.

Sure, Cap'n Crunch cut the roof of your mouth, and that was kind of a deal breaker, but we knew the risks. We ALL knew the risks, and the Cap'n wouldn't have asked it of us if he didn't believe... if we didn't ALL believe... in the importance and power of the Crunch(TM).

Yes... I will remain strong. Not for the Cap'n, but for what he stood for. I'll pass on his ideals, and teach the Crunch(TM) to all who would hear it's delicious call. Our crusade against sogginess is far from over. Oh no. It's only just begun!

Cap'n Crunch: Part of this balanced breakfast... motherfuckers.

...what do they expect me to eat for breakfast now? Seriously I love Captain crunch and pretty much always have it on hand in my pantry. I don't know how I'm going to handle this.

I blame Mayor Bloomberg and all his psychopathic rants on what food people should be allowed to eat and not.

Don't you love the government fascists who all tell us that we need to go eat artichokes, leaves, and tree bark while going and eating spare ribs and porterhouse steaks?

This is why America is failing. Not enough people want to kick governmental ass, flip them the bird, and tell them exactly where they can shove their stupid ass health food ideas.

I like sodium, it's good for you. I like sugar, it's good for you. I like red meat, it's good for you. I love polysaturated fats, they're not good for you. All these are good, in moderation, except the triglycerides, which are very tasty. Why do I need some damned politician who wouldn't know a legume from a deciduous fir tell me what I can and cannot eat?
polyunsaterated fat is good for you its the kind found in nuts
think you mean saturated fat(coconuts, animal fat)
Yeah, it's a habit from a song I love. Polysaturated is triglyceride. My bad, thanks for the catch.

Seriously? Crunch Berries were the most awesome things ever. I guess I'll just stick to all the Raisin Bran my brother keeps getting.

really? retirement? no graceful promotion to Rear Admiral and a cushy desk job?

[small]holy crap, how am i the first to make that joke?[/small]

seriously, though, i didn't get a chance to read the whole article in the link, but are they retiring all varieties, or just the basic Cap'n Crunch? 'cause it'd be a crying shame if they canceled Peanut Butter Crunch...
You're not, they made that joke in Futurama.
And how dare they take away my Cap'n Crunch!!! It is my favorite cereal ever!!!

It's not actually going away. [http://adage.com/article/news/cap-n-crunch-breathes-easier-talk-demise-untrue/149318/]

It looks like they're going to try and re-brand it so that they don't advertise it to children, but to potheads and man children. Totally not a publicity stunt though.

Real men eat Cinnamon Toast Crunch.
