Funny thing is. I just got it today and I have just finished it. The main story was good and the extra goodies were okay...but I feel there could of been more for 1600 MP points.

They could of added a few more quests and maybe more of the two factions. Hell even a mission where you repair the HQ of the factions would of been fine.

I feel like I needed more.

And for me it worked fine, I went to Whiterun and then it started, and it worked fine for the whole DLC.

So I find it great. Now just give me more DLC...please. ^_^

No, as per my Bethesda game worked fine and so did the DLC. I experienced the same thing with Morrowind, Oblivion and Fallout 3, though I bought them after all the patches were released, and Fallout New Vegas and Skyrim both worked fine, as did their DLC.

The actual amount of people affected by bugs in Bethesda games is blown out of proportion by the infamous vocal minority.

Now, if we can just get some DLC relating to the Thalmor before I leave for uni that'll be great.

Anyone else having problems with the DLC? Because I have to start a new game to play it
You need to be level 10 and wait for a guard in a city to come talk to you about "The Dawnguard", to which you enquire about and thus start the quest for it.

Enjoy being beta testers Xbox users! Thank Microsoft for giving PS3 and PC more time to fix the kinks out.
Thanks, it's good to know we're doing something for the community - by the way, I'm not buying it until a few weeks after release and I'm an Xbox user. Just because we can doesn't mean we all will.

You do realise that
A) This is bethesda, if they find bugs they aren't going to change them.
B) PC versions of any game, especially something as big as skyrim are terrible at even starting, IDK about ps3.
and C) We got it before you. Be as douchey as you like, you still have to wait for the exact same product because you made a bad decision when you choose your gaming platform.

Shush Slackbladder, let the knowledgeable do talking.

If i am already a werewolf (Cuz of the companions) can I also be a vampire?
I think I heard that you can't be both because being a werewolf makes you immune to disease. Time for a new character, huh?

Mostly I act like a dick because Microsoft seems content to be pricks about DLC. Anyways, I've got mods to keep me busy and a dedicated community that fixes Bethesda's problems for us.

Don't think so, due to the "beast blood" ability that gives you 100% immunity against all diseases, including the vampire disease. Unless in dawnguard it's done differently, in which case, I should think the werewolf abilities would be cancelled out.

If it's not done differently, you'll need to find a cure to being a werewolf before you try to become a vampire. I know there's some way to get it cured, but I don't know how, look it up on the wikis, but I do know that once it's cured, there's no way to become a werewolf again on that character.

In all cases, you've got a choice to make; Fur or fang?

Yeah, DLC takes the piss occasionally. Like, well, Dawnguard. A game addition that costs 1600 MS points. There are whole games you can buy that are cheaper than that.
Minecraft, Bastion, From Dust, the list goes on. And tbh, I'm not too fussed about mods. They seem glitchy, and the ones that really take talent usually stop something else working properly.

Nah, I have a second character that I'm gonna make Evil vampire deathlord of death, because my argonian is past the point of being cured of werewolf-ism.

You've never tried a mod have you?

You might think that now, but once you try one there's no going back.....

OT: I'll get it for PC when it comes out.

It appears your head is too spectacular to behave in an adult manner in forums. That's okay, we can't all be wise :) As to your remark about choosing gaming platforms, I could laugh myself to death. PC is the suppreme gaming platform because it's flexible and allows many things of convenience and improvement. You on the other hand are stuck with your cheesy console and it's not going to change in any way. Sure PC gaming eats money but for the serious and ambitious lifestylegamer, it's the only sensible choice. Take this comment how you please, I don't really care. The record needed to be set straight and that's what I did, more or less. Now have a good day everybody :)

I have, just not a good one lol.
I've seen better ones than the one I had access to, but my friend who uses PC downloaded some mod for lightsabers or something and they wouldn't let him into whiterun.
I guess they don't like jedi

Could anyone playing Dawnguard tell us poor folks who still have to wait, what is the deal with the two factions? How does it treat the player if (s)he is already a vampire, or a werewolf for that matter? What powers/abilities do the Vampire Lords have? And the Dawnguard? Info info info info.

Tried speaking to guards, they mentioned it to me when I talked to them, but I'd been playing a few minutes already by then. It seems to be working fine, and it's awesome!
