So did anyone actually buy the Playstation Move?

I got it at release, had the camera so for me all I needed was the wand, at $50 I can afford to give it a try;

The games are nothing too spectacular basically HD wii sports, but the move is accurate and fun to use, so i don't regret my purchase.

Just a quick question for you guys, did you guys experience any fuzziness in terms of the motion controls? When I was playing the gladiator duel game, there were times where I would do a swing, and then the character would just sort of fidget and not do anything. There are times I do just fine and I get fantastic accuracy, and then suddenly go into a slump where I can't seem to get a full swing out.

I suspect it might have something to do with the way the camera was set up, since I tend to shift a little bit too much back and forth during game play. But truth be told, I think it's kind of unreasonable to expect me to NOT step back and forth from the camera. So... trying to figure out what I can do remedy that.
We did have a little trouble with that, but pretty much for the same reasons you had: we were moving around too much. I can imagine that's why when you go into the game they have you calibrate to a certain place in the room. When we planted our feet it didn't give us any issue.

I'm guessing games that involve full motion will get some better tracking down the road, but for now I understand why they have that "box" that you're supposed to play in; especially when it comes to playing with more than one person.

Yeah, that's what I figured.

It's funny though, I was thinking about this just then and I realized that when I played those shooting arcade games or other motion detection games at the arcade, I never actually move around too much anyway. I'm not sure why this is an issue when I'm on the Move.

Maybe it's because at the arcade, there are clearly defined borders and limitations on movement marked down on the floor, but in the case of the Move, the borders are all invisible.

I think a soft solution to this might be just to put down a marker on the floor so you know where you can and cannot move after you calibrate.

that's why it's "exotic" porn. I'm sure that if such porn was made, there'd be an audience for strangely microphone shaped penii.

No. If I wanted motion controls, I would have played on my brother's Wii.

Dear lord, that sounded wrong.

But yeah, I don't need a Wii, let alone an expensive one with a brightly coloured bauble on the end,

I already had a Wii.

Operative word being "had". Not a fan of motion gaming. What's worse is that for the cost of all the Move accessories you'd need to buy, I could get another Wii, just about, which has much better games.

Motion controls are a gimmick and that will never change, unless it involves peanutbutter.

I've got a Wii I hardly play, I learned my lesson last time.
i could have told you not to buy the Wii...when that system came out i said to everybody to not waste their money. it would only be a matter of time before Sony and Microsoft would introduce their own versions. and they would perfect the technology with better graphics..

It's easily a better product than the wii+, in the future it should be able to surpass any wii game in performance just for the sheer fact that it's a much better product. The worst part about the whole situation is that the first games for it just suck hard monkey dick. Once they have some decent software I'm quite positive that this hardware will shine...

I only realized that it'd come out when I saw the title of this thread.

That should say a lot about my enthusiasm for Move.

I'd buy it if it cost the same as a wii remote, but it's insanely expensive. I'll wait for used ones to show up, and even then not til some good Move-compatible games are out.

I didn't, I don't like motion control. I probably won't be getting Kinect either.
