I can no longer count the number of times I have seen a news story where children are setting up a lemonade stand to do something, and then the police show up to shut down the operation.
you'd figure after years of hearing this story the police departments would have some sort of policy against shutting down children's lemonade stands. The least they could do is ask the children to get their parents and inform the parents of the situation as to why the kids can't sell lemonade and then let the parents explain it.
The first time we heard the story is was shocking, but now it is just sad.
It would just make my day perfect if there is ever a case where the police tell the kids to shut down the lemonade stand, only for the kids to provide a permit.
oh, please tell me some kids felt like being smartasses and got a permit.
