I've actually done quite a bit of thinking about this. For the boys I'm thinking Marshall, Lamar, Benjamin, Chris, Hoyt, Robert, Lee, Lestor, Curtis, Alan, Floyd, James, Eugene, Stuart or any host of other names picked from male ancestors, rock and roll singers, the Bible or Confederate war heros. For the girls I'd pick Betty, Abigail, Francis, Derotha, Debora, Ruth, Lynn, Annelle, Catherine, Caitlin, Earcell, Mary, Anna, Mary-Anne (one of relatively few multiple names that I like), Varina, Howell or any host of other names picked from female ancestors, influential teachers, the Bible or the wive's Confederate war heros.

The mother of any of my children would have final say in what they are named (family tradition, and it seems fair), though I'd like to have a big family so maybe she'll let me pick one or two of the names.

My first two kids will be named Sam and Max.

It ddoesn't matter matter if they're boys or girls. It can be Samantha or Samuel, Maxine or Maxwell. It will automatically be shortened to Sam and Max.
You win the topic.

I'm partial to Doesn'tExisty, or maybe The Unborn or something like that.

So I always loved the name Alex. Alexander for a boy or Alexandria for a girl, whichever came first...

Then I had this student named Alex. Not a bad kid, just absolutely maddening... shouldn't have been the end of the world, there are lots of kids named Alex, except THIS ONE had the same last name as my fiance, the same last name I will have in 100 days (What? Who's counting?). I can no longer think of naming my child Alex without thinking of this student. Perhaps it will pass, Alex is graduating this year (IF he passes math!)...

Well, the girlfriend and I are expecting this September, but we've had a few ideas for a while.

For a boy; Elliot. I forget the others we have picked out off of the top of my head.

For a girl; Helena. We also like Haligh and Hayley. Oh, and I really like Jordan for a girl, but the girlfriend objects.

Well, my surname's Johnson for reference...

First son: Richard Stephen
Second son: Simon David

First Daughter: Freya Louise
Second Daughter: Harriet Jessica

This is all assuming their mother (whoever she turns out to be) approves of course.

Of course, we're not being serious in this thread, so for the spirit of things: Sheogorath, Aestu-Vaerotigon, Menistephilax and Kharadras.

For a girl I like Katie or Sophie. I don't really have any favourites for boys' names.

Asator, Lysander, Rodney and Ike. I'll name the first one Asator, and use a dart throw for the second/third/fourth.

Asator should be self-explanitory (I AM THOR).

Lysander because he was a freaking Spartan.

Rodney because he is my favorite character from Stargate.

And Ike, because everytime I A-Smash someone in Brawl I screenshot it because there's Ike.

Pearl if it's a girl. I've always loved that name.
If a boy, George, after my brother.

Boy:
Caspar - my nephew, uncle, grandpa and great grandpa were called that and I like the name. Might as well continue the tradition.
Ishan - It's a cool sounding name
Lucius - Only if I want to be sure my son's a dick. He'll have to be blonde though.

Girl:
Rose - I like roses.
Scarlet - I like red. Doesn't work well in Dutch though, so we'll probably scratch that.
Julia - If I name the boy Lucius, the girl will be Julia.

I agreed with my last girlfriend we'd name at least one kid after a dragon (Tranxilia'vixea, Xsiseravexious, etc) if only to mess with the teachers at school. (Though the best way to do that, of course, is to name your kid "Robert'); DROP TABLE Students;--". Thank you, xkcd.)

Ashura is a favourite, Sonnet too for girls. I like japanese names for boys, I guess I watch too much anime! Haruka and Yuki are sweet. As long as its not a name thats been spelled differently just for the sake of it then I have no problems...

For a boy: Artemis or Lucius (go madmen!)

For a girl: Artemis

Yes, Artemis is a unisex name (why is that even a word?)

If I have a son, I'd like him to be named Arpegius. I'll probably be forced into a compromise.
No thoughts on names for a daughter, but it would have to be something unique.

Fairly sure that whoever I end up with will NOT agree with my choice of girl's name. As such, divulging it here will probably breed stalkers who will WANT to have a child called that, therefore leading them down a path that will make me very uncomfortable.

But seriously, Azure for a girl, Adam, Cody or Zane for a boy.

For a boy, Ozymandias (King of kings, bitches!) but, I doubt whoever bears my spawn will agree. Fall backs include Dave, (because everyone has to know a Dave) Leon (No Idea why, sounds cool though, Terry's a good'un too. May give him the middle name "Cuthbert" if I wanna be cruel. As for a girl, I like Zoe.

My husband objects to most of these, but for a boy, he would be named Gabriel or Yuri, and a girl, she would be Kestrel or Samus.

A friend of mine recently gave birth, and as she is a hard-core pagan, I told her to name her son "Hrothgar the Destroyer". I think he ended up being a Cody, or Chris, or something lame like that.

If it's a boy it shall be named Optimus or Panda 2.0. If it's a girl then it shall be called Slagathor because girls are rubbish!!!! Then I would have to call the woman who spawned the feminine devil child a "bad vessel" and put her down because that is the humane thing to do. Luckily I lost my left testicle in a bizarre Wii sports accident so I can't have girls anyway because my friend honest Steve says that's where they come from.
