Just curious as to how many people who post here went to Download Festival or watched the live stream of any of the bands.

I've been for several years in a row(06,07 and 08) but this years line up doesn't really interest me. I mean come on Slipknot headlining, its not bloodstock for crying out loud.

As a question to other download goers do you sometimes still wear the wristbands from there?

Slipknot would not fit in well at Bloodstock. But i gotta say that the line up was brilliant this year and a very surprisingly good set by Limp Bizkit.

And yeah i used to wear my wristband from Download 2007 till like a couple of months ago.

2007 was A-W-E-S-O-M-E! I still have all the paraphernalia from that one stuck on my wall.

I just got back. Really awsome download, awsome line-up. The top performing bands definatly have to include Chris Cornell (who was stunningly good live), Korn and Journey. On the other hand Papa Roach and Manson were both fowl.

I really cant stand Papa Roach, they have completely sold out and chased the market. The lead singer was also making comments about how talentless Britney Spears is, but one has to scratch the head and ask how many albums more has she sold?

Limp Bizkit, Prodigy, Trivium and Killswitch engage were certinly the best croud pleasers. I nearly managed to steal myself Fred Dursts hat when he jumped into the crowd but was finger-tip away. I was lucky enough to be on the bar for Prodigy, dosnt get better.

I was able to stream a little bit of Faith No More's set and it was amazing.

As someone who lives in America, I am pissed that Faith No More's reunion is only taking place overseas. Hopefully that will change, but you guys have no right to complain because that is a pretty huge concert event, at least in my eyes it is.

NOES

It seems a lot more watered down with non metal/rock acts this year.

I myself will be heading to Sonisphere festival in Knebworth, where Metallica, NIN, Lamb of God, Machine Head and Alice in Chains are playing, amongst others :D Sounds awesome no?

I wanted tickets for that but couldn`t get any shame as it does look way better than download this year

Aww no, bad times :(

But yeah it does look sweet, although I'm only going for the Sunday, as there are no bands on Saturday that really float my boat.

I went. There was only about 5 or 6 bands that I had any remote interest in seeing but mostly it was all about Faith No More (who were fantastic!).

Marilyn Manson, Slipknot, Devil Driver and Whitesnake on the other hand were a huge blob of pish. PARTICULARY Manson, he was embarassing...

Sorry did you see the same slipknot?
They were easily the best band at download. I completely agree with you on Manson though, my god... Shocking.

When I first heard about Download Festival I thought:

"A lot of people getting together to pirate stuff?"

No, I'm not going. Would be nice to go sometime though.

Oh screw you, at least you can go to see Creeds reunion tour, unlike me.
Really!? Creed!? The only band I have ever heard of getting sued for not putting on a good show, and you are upset that you will not be able to see them live. For some reason I don't think that you will be missing much if they don't tour overseas.

Plus the Faith No More reunion is much bigger than Creed. How long has Creed been broken up? Four years? Try 11 with Faith No More. Creed pretty much just on a temporary hiatus until they realized they needed money.

In case you missed it: http://drownedinsound.com/news/6762-creed-sued-for-being-rubbish

Oh yeah, one more thing, Creed!? Really!?
