How much do you read? As in books. You know, the things with the pages? And I'm not referring to Graphic novels either, I mean Novels.
I was wondering, what was the most recent book you read?
Are you reading a book now?
If so, what is it?
What is your favorite book/series?
Right now, I'm reading Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Literally right now, as I type.

Edit: As an added discussion topic, what do y'all think of the Amazon Kindle?

I recently took up the Dark Tower Series by Stephen King, I can honestly say I'm hooked and I'm only on the second book!

Most recent book I actually finished was probably the last book of A Series of Unfortunate Events.

I've been working on The Eye of the World for a few weeks now...I just never make time to read more than a chapter at a time, so it's very slow going.

I just finished the His Dark Materials trilogy, which I actually rather liked reading once again, and I'm going to read The Wind on Fire trilogy next.

The Shadow of The Xel'Naga.

It's a starcraft novel, but they are surprisingly good.

Well, I started the Godfather a few days ago, and I'm almost done with it.

I've been reading a bit less lately, mostly due to the library not getting new books, although I'm thinking about checking to see if the school library has anything good.

Finished World War Z at the end of the summer, and read half each of "I Hope they Serve Beer in Hell" and "Fantasy in Death" since school started. Also, do textbooks count? Cause I've read a hell of a lot of those since the University year started :(

Well that's a pretty damn condescending way of putting it. Graphic novels and comics like Watchmen, Hellboy, and Mushishi can have every bit as much literary depth as a books, films, or other media forms.

But fine, I'll play your game. I'm a college student, so I actually don't have a lot of time to do extracurricular reading right now. I'd like to, but I'm busy as hell. The last book I put a big dent (for fun as opposed to for class) was Alchemical Psychology: Old Recipes for Living in a New World by Thom F. Cavali. And the last literary book I read was Anansi Boys by Neil Gaiman.

I've started Terry Pratchett's Wintersmith on monday (actually it's some sort of gap-filler book, but I'm still already 200 pages in) and read Lovecraft when I have time in the evening (which is unfortunately not much lately), but rest assured I do read a lot.

Hey, I'm currently reading Dune! High five.

I have already read the complete Sherlock Holmes Series (it helps when your grandmother is in a book club).

I suppose after I finish Dune I'll start Ender's Game.

Most recent? Probably Witches Abroad (Again) yesterday. Now I'm halfway through another book (Above the Veil. Again, again) and got Amulet of Samarkand (Again!) on page 14.

By the way, the agains mean I've read them all a lot of times.

Witches - twice before
Above the veil - Once before
Amulet of Samarkand - Four times before. (The sequels are even better!)

How many books are there in the series?

Also, has anyone read 'Fatherland'? Probably my favorite ever alternate history book.

I started reading the "Wheel of Time" series early last year.
I'm almost finished book 5.
I didn't read ANY books over the summer, and I only read a couple of chapter each night.

I don't read that much. All of the books that I own are in the "Wheel of Time" series, except for that Stephen King book that I have called "The Dark Half". I haven't read it yet, but I will eventually!
