So, Escapist, do you ever go to nightclubs?

If you do what kind of music do you go there for? Why do you go? Whats your best club experience,your worst? If you used to go/dont go then why don't you?

I usually go to techno or rap and pop/hip hop clubs, I go because when I go with a huge group of my friends (mostly guys not gonna lie) we have a blast and we usually run the clubs around here (note we DO NOT take any girls home, usually we don't have the room in the cars and we go to have fun and dance with girls not be the tools on the jersey shore)

My best club experience would be two weeks ago when I came back from school my friends told me they met a former pornstar (she was only like 26 but were all 19-20) and we went to the clubs with her and her friends. None of us really did anything sexually with them but damn they know how to have a good time!

My worst would be when my friends tricked me into going to a gay club (they didnt tell me it was a gay club) and usually I don't mind because i have gay friends and have been to a gay club before but this one time all my friends had dates so i had no wingman and all the girls were meatballs (thats slang in my area for a butterface or just an ugly girl, usually said in a saying like "Damn I didnt knw we walked into an olive garden!")

Sometimes if the mood strikes me. But I prefer bars where one can choose to sit down and talk a little. And the fact a lot of nightclubs around here are full of drugged up retards doesn't help its case much.

I used to go when I was about 18 years old, but I cant stand them now. Most play shit music, its quite dangerous at times and theres far too many kids out now.

I think I stopped when a mate of mine got bottled by some guy because he was, shall we say, doing something dirty to his sister in a club once. Turns out she was only 15, but it still begs the question of why the hell was she in there in the first place? Innefective dickheads pretending to be door staff.

Haha I feel you on that one, I mean don't get me wrong I had been to a gay club before and I usually have a blast but this time they took me to a different one they said it was poppin with single ladies and great music and it was easy for guys to get free drinks (that was the only true part haha) they didnt tell me they all had dates and they literally laughed their ass off when they saw my face after we paid to get in, I mean i was like fuck it and just talked to people at the bar all night and got free drinks even though they knew I was straight, but I'm glad to say that was my worst haha

I rarely go due to scheduling conflicts with my friends. Honestly, the only reason I liked going was for the karaoke. My favorites to sing is 'Float On' by Modest Mouse, and 'Modern Way' by The Kaiser Chiefs. Before I stopped going, I was just starting to attempt some songs by Muse, but I think if I ever go out again, I want to try Maroon 5's 'Stutter' and maybe try some Robbie Williams. I did a half-decent rendition of 'Millenium', so maybe...

Pubs, clubs, bars, its all good. If the music sucks, then I just drink more and it doesn't matter. If I pick up a chick, great, if not, who cares. Safe to say I sometimes make a fool of myself, but I usually entertain the people who came with me, so that's all right. Never had a bad night out, had some bad morning afters tho.

I'm not indignant about it, I just don't have fun, and would rather save my money for something that does work for me. My friends could never quite grasp that, they took it as a rejection of their friendship...which it wasn't.

Not really any more, usually play shit music, sell overpriced drinks, and full of slags, both male and female. I prefer gigs, or just staying in generally. Not sure about the best, probably getting smashed near Christmas time with my friend, seeing the taxi bill at £60, asking the driver to pull over and running home instead because fuck paying that, it was snowing too and after a while of running we decided to camp out in a brothel for a while because we were freezing and nackered. I like how that has little to do with actual clubs, says a lot. We were in a club prior.

The worst was last New Years, my mate gave me a free ticket to the club because his girlfriend was sick. I was disgusted to see inside that it cost £8 for redbull and vodka, £2 for a tiny bottle of water, and £4.50 for anything else. No wonder people were doing drugs all over the place, it's cheaper. You'd have to be rich to get drunk in that club. Oh, and the taxis were double.

Not if I can help it. I much preffer going to a bar or pub where I can sit, talk, and laugh with a bunch of mates. I tend to not really enjoy myself in those places. Sometimes I think I'm an old git before my time

I go to wherever my friends are at. I tend to switch off if the music is duff and enjoy time with my friends. Although I went to rock oriented nightclub that was playing the pokemon film on tvs behind the bar. Best club ever

Went once, nearly had an aneurysm when I found out how much a drink cost, stuck to the floor and I didn't like the music. But at least I gave it a chance, it just turned out that it is not my idea of fun.
