Huh, quite a few people seem to have discovered theirs through Tony Hawk's, this actually surprises me.

Just searching up bands from my heritage. Found a gem of a power metal band :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CHrK1CwjvVU
Wow, thanks for sharing these guys. Digging them already. :D

As for my favourite band, they were half the sound track of Crazy Taxi, no not The Offspring, but they're close. Bad Religion. Between Crazy Taxi and THPS2 I was hooked, still my favourite band to this day.
No problem bud, just glad to spread the word

A few years ago now I watched a film called The Devils Rejects. I thoroughly enjoyed it, it's one of my favourite films now. Anyway, this is the final scene, which is how I discovered what was to become my favourite band. I'm sure Americans will be like "You only heard of them 6 years ago?" but Skynyrd are not that big over here.

My friend showed me some System of a Down many years ago. Little did he know what he had created...

My favorite band, Hysteria, was at this show that I went to. They played a really good set, even though I wasn't really paying attention. Then they played a cover of Disciple by Slayer and that's when I first starting paying attention. Then I saw them again at another show... still didn't really know them, but one thing I remembered is they were one of the first bands there and the singer stood up on an amp and shook his head when he look out into the crowd and no one was moving. A couple weeks later, we were on our way to another show that they were at and a friend who had actually looked them up after the show was like "This band Hysteria is crazy. They've got this one line that's like 'If god made us in his image, his image is filthy.'" And then I actually started listening to them a lot. Now I've screamed along at their shows several times and I'm a huge fan. I get pumped listening to them even if I'm not at one of their shows.

You can even see me (kind of) in their profile picture on Facebook.
