I went to Lancaster University. Great town, great people, terrible course.
LANCASTER?! There's Lancastrians on these boards?! You and me. A duel to the death. 20 minutes.
In case history's not your thing, I'm at the University of York, studying English Lit. Woo, so useful
Simmer down ya Yorkshire chucklenut, I only attended the university.
Born in Leeds, childhood in Norwich, currently in Belfast, I'm a man without a county.
And I got my job on the strength of the Creative Writing half of my Eng Lit and CREW degree, so don't knock it til you've tried it. (of course, 70% of the rest of my graduating class were unemployed 3 months after I left, so...)
Hah, I'm not even from Yorkshire, I just get carried away with the spirit of it all. I'm a Brummie with Scottish family, so I guess I've got the least right in having some Yorkshire pride

Lived there for a couple years though now, but I'm still the outsider.
That's fair enough, but my EngLit doesn't have a Creative Writing module within it - it's all standard textual analysis, but they do have a specialty in foreign literature in its native language - for example, I'm studying Old Norse (in Old Norse, as part of English. Go figure). But, because of that, I thought instead I'd go get some teaching experience through the uni and take advantage of York's language courses alongside my degree and go teach English as a foreign language instead.
Also, do you mind if I ask - what's a 'CREW degree'? You mentioned it, but I haven't the foggiest what that is.
