The original Legend of Zelda on NES.

I could never let anything happen to something this epic and pretty.

I used to have some Atari VCS cartridges dating back to 1979... but since I sold all my Atari junk several years back, my oldest physical games are some Master System stuff. So... 1987?

All my SNES games. I think the first one I had was Super Mario All-Stars. I even still have the SNES.

Space Invaders for the Atari 2600 along with some other games, they are in the loft. The Space Invaders cartridge is older than me it was made in 1980. I got it as a hand me down from my dad's friend in about 1984-5.

Sonic the Hedgehog for Sega Mega Drive, pretty sure it and the Mega Drive itself are still kicking around somewhere in the house.

Arena on PC.

I cant get it to run on 7.
Should fire right up with Dosbox. But Dosbox itself can take a little getting used to.

After perusing my collection, I believe the oldest physical game that I haven't lost over the years is Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis. And it is awesome.

Prince of Persia.

Got the old floppy disk in a collection, along with Wolfenstien 3d, Catacombs of the Abyss, Fantasy World Dizzy, Aladdin and a load of Commander Keen floppies.

The Aladdin case still has the price tag of £40 on it. £40 for less than 3mbs of data...

I had GBC games, but thanks to a certain ***** that threw me out on my ass, I don't anymore.

So it's either Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town for the GBA or Perfect Dark Zero Collector's Edition.

Pokemon: Silver

But, the sad thing is, the game is damaged. One tap on the cartridge and all of the data is erased.

So many countless hours gone. I even had a shiny cyndaquil...

Missile Command, Atari 2600.

My 2600 is a little cranky, and I've had to re-solder some bits of it, but it still plays.

Possibly some of my older gameboy games, or one of the Playstation one games. Not sure of the exact dates of any of them.

I used to have a copy of Hexen on CD somewhere but I haven't seen it in years. I only have a digital copy now.

Try dosbox [http://www.dosbox.com/]. Bit confusing at first but eventually I was able to get Daggerfall working and loads of other games too.

(Bonus points if someone still owns a game on floppy disks ).
I looked in a old box I have that I was pretty sure had lots of floppys in it but it only has about 10 or 12, only one of which is an official copy, Blake Stone (which was released one week before the original Doom). The rest are copies. But I can't play any of them anyway as theres no floppy drive on my laptop. I also found my physical copy of Doom II on CD in that box.

I'm guessing the oldest in Blake Stone:Aliens of Gold on Floppy disk but I'm not so sure.

Donkey Kong for the Colecovision.

Oldest system I've got out of the bunch, and they all still work.

Pokemon Red, I guess. And it was my first game ever. I still even have my Game Boy Pocket that I got it with. And that's the only thing I ever play it in. Anything else feels wrong.
